Austin
Very cool. I don't think I'll be able to make it, but still, what kind of turnout do you guys usually have for these? cyberfluxor
Very cool. I don't think I'll be able to make it, but still, what kind of turnout do you guys usually have for these? Our first outing was in August 2010 with over 200 attendees throughout the day. Last year storms persistently canceled our schedule date and we're hoping for the best of weather this time around. We are speculating between 300 to 400. Vendors will be at this event so we're hoping the word spreads a bit further. What makes it a huge leap over last time is we are expecting to exceed the 16 arcades and a number of pinball machines are planned as stated above. There aren't many places you can find Tron 2: Legacy pinball let alone set to freeplay! Austin
Mmm, teeempting. I got to play the Tron Legacy pin at the last local tournament here back in December. It's pretty nice! Really wish there was one local at a public venue and not in the hands of a collector, haha! That alone could potentially be worth a few hour drive from here in Fairfax.. cyberfluxor
Mmm, teeempting. I got to play the Tron Legacy pin at the last local tournament here back in December. It's pretty nice! Really wish there was one local at a public venue and not in the hands of a collector, haha! That alone could potentially be worth a few hour drive from here in Fairfax.. The Tron 2: Legacy pinball machine is coming from a place in Grandy, North Carolina located near the Outer Banks. They recently opened up and are a good drive from where you're at, but convenient if heading to Nags Head, Corolla, Manteo, Kill Devil's Hill, Kitty Hawk, and so forth down there. From the Virginia boarder they are about 35 minutes away straight southbound. There goal is to be open all year as they also serve food and drinks along with a gift shop and small convenience store. Awesome setup in my opinion. You can check out their list of machines on Aurics Aurcade site, their main concentration is pinball with over 40. I'd like to add that there will be Atari hardware there, otherwise it wouldn't make much sense would it? We have the Atari 2600, 5200, and 7800 consoles, no Jaguar at the moment. For computers we have 800xl, 130xe, 65xe, 1024st, and others. There is limited room available but there will be a dedicated space for consoles, another for computers, then for arcades and pinball. If the hardware you want to use isn't out just ask us and we'll see if it's available.
