You feel that spine-tingling exhilaration every time you play GALAXIAN in an arcade. Now the same sensation is yours at home. Wave after wave of Drones, Emissaries, Hornets and Commanders come winging in from deep space. Skillfully, you slide your ship right and left with your joystick, dodging their fire and blasting them out of the universe.

The game crashed on me so I wasn't able to take a photo. I see there's 4 different ROMs for Galaxian, perhaps I'm using a bad version? Is there a database somewhere to explain what's different? I normally play the non-alt variation, for Galaxian that's the 24K file.

There was never a good dump for this game until Ikrananka himself dump his personal copy per my request. Here is a link to the thread. Post #18 has Ikrananka's good dump of Galaxian for those that don't own the cartridge.

Well, I started practicing on level one since I haven't played this before to work my way up to level three. I was playing the 24k version and was having problems like the ones mentioned. At one point the flying things stopped shooting! All I had to do was just miss the things and keep on shooting. I was getting tons of flags for no reason and I could basically just go on forever if I wanted to. I just killed myself at 27,670. I have since got the version posted above and I'm now using that one with no problems yet. I have to practice a bit before I post a screen for level three.

This one obviously doesn't count but is good for a laugh.

Not really sure where the "cheat" part came from as I was curious as to the level in terms of screens cleared and was the reason the "at" was used.... lol.. Sorry... as it appears you thought otherwise.

Sorry man, I was thinking skill level as opposed to screen progression (flags) - I may not be the quickest study at night sometimes either  . Honestly, I rarely look at the # of screens completed, just the score.

Anyhow, CV Galaxian is one of my all-time favorite video games and one of the few I play really well. Seems like a lot of gamers aren't too fond of it though.

Hi Ikrananka, I'm not surprised about this question. I played a few games and often the game broke down. I must have a very bad dump on my 128 on 1-cartridge.

On my attached photo I wanted to improve my first score (look at the result in the middle) by starting a new game, then the yellow ship came on the screen and also some green circles - like explosions. This must be a bug like the white strip on Joe's photo.
