I was knocked out with my 2,296 score !!! :-o Sure, I'm not one of the remaining ko players, but that is only due to my late arrival. I play as if I had to win the tournament, not beeing knocked, placing myself higher in the rank as possible and giving all my best. Sure, my recent acquired paddles didn't arrive, but as Scrabbler I tried many ways to overcome the game challenge. I installed another atari emulator on my android smartphone to try touchscreen controls. Put the mouse upside-down, in order to move a thin wood surface . And in astroblast I posted a video of a nice control that could replace paddles -- I wonder if Scrabbler would have some interest in those controls... And, in the end, I crossed 2k, raising a little bit the bottom of the mouse leaving only the mouse's nose to lose some grip and move faster. But after that I didn't manage to improve anymore. JacobZu7zu7 Posted April 18, 2012 Author Share Posted April 18, 2012 Kaboom! is definately a HIT or MISS game... accuracy is a must! lucky for me, that I hit more then I missed...! I was thrilled to crack 6ks for first time ever... my old previous best was 3,900 at the Variety Pack, a year and a half ago... There's nothing there now, edit --> I recorded a poor boring first video < --- end of edit, but my plan is to record some gameplay and talk a little bit more about the games we're playing in AtariAge. And it's a good excuse to practice more English, and learn some webskills. I never created a blog or site before.... I hope it works... DT Kofoed Posted April 20, 2012 Share Posted April 20, 2012 (edited) So, my son has a friend over, and they see me playing a round of Frogger, mid 2K, and go "oh, can we play some Atari too?" so sure, I hand over the joystick. They play a little Basketball and Yar's Revenge, and then, "I want to play something else, something not on the Atari," and now they're playing Wii in my living room and I'm using Stella and a keyboard, and can only tie my already posted score. I got to this level on my first and last try tonight! The traffic is HELL in the swamp... somehow I got 4 outta 5 frogs across! You have to RUN with the traffic to pass it... Deteacher Posted April 20, 2012 Share Posted April 20, 2012 (edited) Minor improvement: 3,426! There's a spot where the traffic opens up enough for you to make 3 quick jumps straight up. That really helps in getting across the road. I should be able to finish this level tonight, after work. Ok, this last set of traffic isn't the one I had remembered and commented about in my last post. I can't remember how to get across just yet, but I remember finishing this level in previous HSC contests. IIRC, after this killer wave, it starts over at the first level of traffic, but with the 2 snakes and the croc at the top.
