Dan Iacovelli Posted May 1, 2012 Share Posted May 1, 2012 (edited) Sorry for the lateness but it's time announce the First round of the Harmony Games. for those who don't know what the Haromy Games are: I will announce 3 rounds of games to play each of these high scores will be used in the Harmony games tournament at the 2012 VGS in July where players get to try to beat the high score made here.(all three games will be played on a harmony cart at the show) The first game is Rainbow Inavders simple rules Play until you loose your lives You can d/l the rom using the link above and either play on emulator or on actual sytem using harmony cart. (if you have the actual cart that is also fine) Post your scores here (screen shots are welcome as well) This round Ends on 5/31/12 when the second round begins. for more deails on the 2012 Harmony Games and Video Game Summit: go to The VGS Website Good Luck!! -------------------------------------- Scores for round 1: 99,180 - Liduario 79,250 - SpaceShooter 70,050 - Gorfy 16,950 - jblenkle *Liduario discovred bug in his 131,850 score Hi Dan, I'm writting this message because I played a few more games of Rainbow Invaders and didn't get close to my high score. I managed to get 94,730 which is too lower than 130k. And in one game I discovered a bug that gave me all lives again. The score had some garbage and my lives were full again, after hitting an enemy, the score returned to its normal aspect. With all said, I have some serious doubts about that high score, I'm thinking it was due to a bug, of course, not intentionaly caused. That game was until now the best I could play, but the score difference is huge! Well I'm a gamer, so I just got the rom and in the first run I got 29,950. I'm going to update this post with coming scores... Gorfy Posted May 21, 2012 Share Posted May 21, 2012 This game definitely has some scoring glitches. I had a score of 85k going, when abruptly 10k was added to my score and all my lives were restored. I assume it was a glitch, unless there's some feature of the game intended to produce this result. I ended up with 98k for the game, but I'm not posting it since I doubt it's legit.
