bigbee99
I finally got everything up to date! I did not double check the link for the ROM I just c/p'd it. Also, the Memorial Day tourney is coming up Next Sunday o.O It would be great to get a few game suggestions rolling in. You can post them here http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/197975-hsc-round-435-memorial-day-tournament/ Thanks B

bigbee99
I just watch a 1.4M replay of this game from Twin Galaxies... Wow! I will be happy if I can pass 100k this week. I kinda got the idea of what's going on with the game though. B
Cynicaster
81,790 Great graphics and sound for the time, but this kind of game pisses me off. How are you supposed to stay alive with 4000 bullets raining on you at any given time? Cheap.

JohnnyBlaze
160,495 I used to play this game all the time with my stepdad(before all of the shit started with the drugs and drinking). Three pieces of advice: 1. There is no time limit. Take your time and eat the soldiers so they cannot fire on you. 2. If you see an Army guy with dynamite, RUN. You DO NOT get a total destruction bonus like with World Tour. It's not worth it to lose energy over a few points. 3. If you hold the joystick diagonally in the direction of the next building, you can actually grab onto the next building. This is a GREAT strategy to use when the building you're on is about to come down.
M.A.M.E Offender
Man, I remember this one being at Pecker's, right down the street from my Mom's house. This one is a silver sucker, for sure. LOL, Pecker's, sounds like a name for an adult bookstore. Ha! Pecker's was the LaSalle slang for the now extinct chain convenience store, which was named Becker's. No porn, just bags of chips, a pop, and a shiny, new rampage machine. The game would make your quarters disappear in a hurry. In my opinion, all Rampage is about is dealing with the reality that your are too big and slow to dodge any of the shots from the guys in the apartments. Sure, with some slick timing you can take on the helicopters with no damage. And the tank, stay above his shots. But everyone else, good luck. You are going to die. It is practically mapped about on a fuckin timer!! Your quarter will last an avg of about 1 to 2 mins. If anyone goes beyond 3 minutes, you are an incredible player. Good to know number 3 and always keep number 1 in mind.
Cynicaster
88,590 I think this is common knowledge, but just in case it isn't, each character has a different civilian that he/she can hold to rack up the bonus points: George - big tit chick Lizzie - guy in yellow shirt Ralph - guy with briefcase I think the only way to grab them is to punch the window they're in horizonally; any other type of punch will make them fall to the sidewalk below. Once you have the civilian in your hand, all of the soldiers will duck away while your points rack up and you'll only have to contend with choppers, tanks, etc. I think the max is 5k or so, then the human will punch you and get away. You'll drop the human if you hit the punch button or attempt any fancy climbing maneuvers. When the human punches you after your full bonus has accumulated, you get stunned momentarily and become a sitting duck so sometimes it's worth it to abort the bonus early to hit choppers, get food, etc. Some other things I learned that helped me: - You get points for all damage you do to a building, so unless you're jumping to an adjacent building, don't jump off one that is starting to crack and crumble until the last second--keep punching - you can clear out soldiers from low level windows without climbing the building. Just jump and use whatever punch you need to in order to hit them for a whopping 50 points (at least they're no longer shooting at you) - items are always hidden in open windows, problem is you don't know whether they will be food or something that harms you. When possible, take a single swing at the open windows to see what it reveals before you punch again. If you just button mash, you'll always inadvertently eat the bombs, poison, etc. before you even see it

Oh and BTW, this should be common knowledge as well, but the trick I mentioned about moving between buildings, you have to JUMP with the joystick in that direction that you want to go. Ah, yes--that is a good tip. I certainly didn't realize it at first. If the building you're on is starting to crumble and you want to jump to the one that's on your right (for example), make sure you are holding your joystick to the right when you hit the jump button. If you just hit the jump button by itself, even if your character looks like he should be able to grab the building, he won't.
