Just bought a Standard Harmony Cart

Well, I've decided to just go ahead and do it. I bought the standard one because it was the cheapest. I'll understand I'll need my own 2GB SD card, but what's all this talk about BIOS software? I was unaware the 2600 had any type of BIOS to it. Now I will soon be able to check to see if any of the games I make work on real hardware instead of begging other people to check for me (if I can get the thing running once I get it.) And also, is the MINI USB the standard one, or is it something special? (I don't know much about computers.)

Check out this page:

It might also be a good idea to look at my section about the Development Tab on the right side of the page:

All you need to do is copy games on to the SD card or put them in folders using your computer and an SD card reader. Put it into the Hamony and pick a file from tithe menu and play.

I used a card formatted by my camera (and it still has all the camera stuff on it). It is Windows FAT formatted. You can use a camera as a card reader.

You won't need to flash the BIOS in the Harmony cart unless a new version (1.06) comes out, or the BIOS gets corrupted. ( Happened once to me. )

The 2600 does not have a BIOS, the Harmony does. The Harmony is basically a computer in a cartridge, with a 70 MHz ARM processor, 32K flash memory and 8K RAM.

But it only has one ARM and no LEGS. Very disappointing. :D

Not that disapointing. Look at this thread: http://www.atariage....endo-rob-robot/
