Stuart
I suspect there are similar books for most early micros where most of the content is identical - it's just prefixed with the Wikipedia content for that particular micro. There's certainly one for the Microtan M65 where the 4 screenfuls of Wikipedia entry are stretched out to a 110 page book. Googling "by Lambert M. Surhone" revelas some interesting articles, including <http://www.side-line.com/news_comments.php?id=46632_0_2_0_C>. Seems like we're all in the wrong business ... 1 Quote Link to comment https://forums.atariage.com/topic/198183-scam-book-texas-instruments-ti-994a-new-by-lambert-m-surhone/#findComment-2525658 Share on other sites
+Vorticon
Any "new" technical book on any classic computer ought to be viewed with caution because everything that is to know about the topic has in very high likelihood already been published decades ago. I can't image what new information about the TI anybody can come up with that is not already available out there. Just check Ernie Pergrem's site... That said, there might be a place for some sort of compilation book for hard to find facts that are spread out across multiple media (books, websites etc...), although the market will be very small. I did not know one could market material published on Wikepedia though.... airernie
Just check Ernie Pergrem's site... And on that note; The site now contains a copy of John Dow's "Assembly Language Primer" that was graciously provided by Jim Fetzner. S1500
You would think it's a scam by the cover. The cover has a picture form dial-up-networking. A negative one. +OLD CS1
Then there's the "High Quality Wikipedia Arctiles" false-sticker. P.T. Barnum would be proud.
