Master Phruby
I was checking out my son's 360 and noticed he has downloaded a number of inappropriate rated M games. I deleted them but how do I keep him from just downloading them again?
Rex Dart
Probably something like this.
Master Phruby
Those things are already set. I even changed the password. It seems Microsoft will allow any user to redownload any boughten software without regards to new parental settings.
onlysublime
but can he play them? did you let him create his own account? did you see what age he set? if he got to do the things himself, there's not much you can do. but once the age is set, it can't be changed. so if you created the account and set the age, the only way around it for him is for him to create a new account Parental controls allow you control things such as: Which games can be played. Which movies and TV shows can be watched. How long each family member can use the console on a daily or weekly basis. Whether or not someone can access Xbox LIVE. How to set up online safety and privacy settings for child accounts.
+Random Terrain
If he is between 8 and 18, he's probably seen and heard worse at school and when he's mistakenly walked in on his parents doing the humpty dance and ran back to his room before he could be seen.

Master Phruby
We talked about exactly that. We could swap the 360 for the wii in the office. He needs to spend this summer outside instead of playing video games.
+Random Terrain
He needs to spend this summer outside instead of playing video games. Dad: "Son, I'll give you two choices. Do you want to sit around playing games and get type II diabetes or do you want to go outside and get skin cancer?" Son: "Well, the chicks love a guy with a tan and I'm not going to get laid sitting on my ass, so I choose skin cancer." Dad: "Good choice, son. Remember, you'll probably die in your 40s, so don't waste any time. Get out there and make your Daddy proud!"

moycon
Put your game systems on one of those x-mas tree timers. If it's a 360, there's really no need. It already has a Family Timer as part of the parental controls. The setting allows you to limit the time that your console can be used on a daily or weekly basis. When the time expires, the console shuts down and can't be used again until the Family Timer automatically resets the next day or week.
