keilbaca
I literally just streamed this today. When I get on a computer I can link the recorded stream on twitch and screenshot the final score. I know the score was in the 3000s.
roadrunner
Instead of clicking on 2 links just DL the rom here. seaweed_assault_2011y_10m_26d_0834t.zip Edited July 5, 2012 by roadrunner

Schizophretard
In the Seaweed Assault is Finally Finished thread I challenged everyone to a competition and posted a screen shot of my score of 75,594. No one responded so, I'm happy for this competition. I won't post that score here because I don't believe it would be fair. I'll post new scores. As a side competition, just for fun, I challenge people to find the Easter Egg. DON'T POST WHAT HAPPENS HERE IF YOU FIND IT. Don't even post one of those spoiler links. Random Terrain wants it to be a surprise. If you find it just send him a PM explaining what happened and I'm sure he will be happy to confirm your find in here. Explain to him what happened. Explain if you found it on accident and don't know how you did it or if you figured out how it works. Make sure you read the manual and if you have questions then please ask. Have fun. +Gemintronic
I'll post a score/screenshot by 7/14/12 for Seaweed Assault if that's how you do it. R.T. does have an online version in the link provided by the OP. The avc.atari-users.net link still has a "," in it where it should have a "."

Schizophretard
Mow the grass tip: Whenever you shoot on a row, turn around to shoot the rest of the row before moving to another row. Don't just go to the longest row or randomly move around. That wastes time. Try to keep a pattern of going up and down the rows to clear the screen and only change that pattern if the "grass" is getting too thick on another row, to dodge the wrothopods, to dodge the mature seaweed, or to go after canisters. When you "mow the grass" you can keep the screen as clear and safe as possible.
littleman jack
A paltry 81. I know I can do better. A few hundred at least. I'll get a few more rounds in after the kids have gone to bed. Thanks for the tip, now I need to put it into action.
littleman jack
I may have found an easter egg of sorts as well. When my son put a controller in port two and pushed the fire button, the game would pause and flash bright colors. Are we on to something, or was it just my Sears Video Arcade II acting up (it won't play Realsports Volleyball at all for instance)?
littleman jack
Squeezed in another attempt. 103. Will post a screenshot later if I don't get a higher score.

When my son put a controller in port two and pushed the fire button, the game would pause and flash bright colors. Are we on to something, or was it just my Sears Video Arcade II acting up (it won't play Realsports Volleyball at all for instance)? Nope: PauseTo pause the game on an Atari 2600, flip the COLOR/BW switch. To pause on an Atari 7800, press the pause button. You can also pause the game by pressing the fire button on the right controller. To resume play, press and release the fire button on the left controller. Remember, you must release the fire button to resume firing torpedoes (this feature keeps you from shooting something you may not want to shoot). The pause feature displays random colors to help protect your television. Only the score and Manatee are shown during pause to prevent cheating. The Mantee is displayed during pause so you'll know your exact position when you resume play.

littleman jack
"It has been said that Seaweed Assault is like a cross between Centipede and Yars' Revenge." (from RT's site). I'd also throw in Oystron. Three other excellent games as well. Good company. Makes the 2600 special.

littleman jack
Now that I've had a little more time, got to use the pause feature on purpose, and stopped running into the seaweed, my score has improved. Got 1291 this afternoon. Will post a screenshot tonight with my highest score for the day. Advice from today. Don't ram the seaweed. It's not Yar's Revenge. And your manatee is not a battering ram. Or just reread the manual. Edited July 4, 2012 by littleman jack

Your score is a good one. The game is easy once you get it down and it is extremely fun once it gets to maximum difficulty.
