Have a good holiday Scalak; photos are always optional. I'll make sure the next round lasts a few extra days to give you some game time ;)

jblenkle - did you finally cross that line

Will update tables and put final vote on tomorrow so get your votes in quick if you've not done so!

Anyone heard from innuendo?

rr - it's tough at the top

On the 8-lapper...yes, I've done it three times now...but I usually run out of time just short of it. I'm becoming more skilled dodging cars...

8 LAP Challenge (Atari GP - PAL 600 XL)

64,350

Two interesting bugs: 1, Your car can' t stand still! (Like the kids nowadays ;) )

It is not possible to stop your car to zero mph (instead of the arcade-orignal AND

the 2600 version).

2, the signs on the roadside suddenly dissapear after a crash (unlike the original)

The illusion of speed is not as good as in the 2600 version.

This round now finishes Sunday morning!

Still time to join in YES YOU!

rr - you still did improve on the 2lapper

sikor - looks like you crashed and landed on your side :D

Drivers (not the top few HSC players) who did not complete 8 laps on the Pro Challenge (Atari/Datasoft GP) may consider switching to the Ham n Egger Challenge (Malibu/Monaco GP), don't be proud - someone needs to give jblenke a challenge ;)

Latest Tables (please check your scores!)

Round 12 Final VOTE OPEN be quick as you only have 48 hours to save... AHHHHAHHHHHH :music:

p.s. using the brake is a wonderful invention and I cleared 7 laps on the M ver with no crashes had 39 seconds as I crossed the line for the final lap and hit the timer bug    previous lap had 28 left and got 85 so looks like you get more time as the laps or # of cars perhaps increases ?

Did anyone ever figure out what initiates the speed of 211mph? I had it happen to me once, but I have no idea what I did or how I did it.

Perhaps something to do with overtaking possibly when you've got sandwiched between two cars (that weird drag thing) combined with a lap where you've not touched any kerbs(!) that's my theory (and I'm sticking to it :D ) Perhaps if Marius reads this he might investigate ;)

Improved on 2 Lap Series (Marius Ver)

Malibu 39,900

Namco 39,300

Atari GP 39,950 (this seems to be the best score for Atari GP on this ver?)

118,150

Tables UPDATED

And It's Firestorm and orpheuswaking crossing the line to take the HSC win for round 11 with a cool 16pts each  well played guys. McKong (PAL 110,750) and orpheuswaking (NTSC 108,700) also broke the Atari GP HSC records and pickup bonus points. Some easy points for jblenkle and bluecat in this round ;)

The Marius version made Pole Position a much tougher challenge on PAL systems; well worth checking out if you're reading this - I never bettered 3 crashes on the 8-Lap Atari GP (apart from that one time when I hit the timer bug (but I don't like to talk about that!).

I'd really like to play some of the variants with different track layouts in a future round:
