+Atari_Warlord
Swordquest Earthworld? Samuel Clemens = Mark Twain Mark Twain wrote parody lyrics for the song, The Battle Hymn of the Republic The first line is, "Mine eyes have seen the orgy of the launching of the Sword;" The song is basically about greed, which fits the series pretty well. +Nathan Strum
Not Raft Rider, nor Swordquest Earthworld. That's an impressive guess, but no. Figuring out Mark Twain is just the first step. Where to go after that will lead in a different direction. More clues, which may help you figure out the other clues (but maybe not the game itself): 78. http://www.frys.com/product/6515023 80. http://www.cnn.com/2013/09/12/tech/innovation/cassette-tape-50th-birthday/

+Atari_Warlord
The Official Frogger from Starpath? Mark Twain wrote "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County" and the game was released on cassette tape.
+Nathan Strum
Both good guesses (one much more than the other), but no. Need more help? 100. I was going to post this clue, but it may have just been a myth.
+McCallister
Secret Quest? Steve Defrisco programmed it in secret, kind of like using a pseudonym. It is on Atari's Greatest Hits vol. 2, which I think is the source for the bibliography clue. It used a passcode feature, with the only other game being Survival Island, which is a Starpath tape. Finally, it is an rpg type game, so kind of like a myth?
+Nathan Strum
Not Secret Quest. The game isn't the myth, the clue is.

+thegoldenband
I was thinking that some sort of lisp-ish pun about "hit" and "myth" was going on. I assume protos aren't in play, otherwise I might've guessed Thwocker.
+Nathan Strum
Guess I'll have to give another hint. 9999. It wasn't an Atari game, twice. Then it was. Now it's not.

Mxyzptlk
I think it is Sir Lancelot. -Clemens started the book (King Arthur) in 1885, his 50th birthday, the 50th b-day of the cassette, and 50 games for the DS. +Nathan Strum
Not Codebreaker or Sir Lancelot. Looking at Mark Twain's bibliography is just a starting point. Maybe a detective would help.
