HSC9 Round 12: Keystone Kapers; Law 'n' Disorder!

Got to the third level on Daylight Robbery - 350

It's one game where 350 points is impressive ;)

I've been playing and failing to beat my scores on Galaxian, Guard (I really like Guard but need to have more discipline), Fred (can't remember if you can switch weapon in Fred so perhaps should have played Fred2... Heavy Metal I saw the Green screens for the 1st time now I have a copy that I didn't type in myself :-D

 

Still absolutely stuck on level 6 of Law Keeper :? (press select on title screen to start on Advanced to jump to it).... If the deputy OR you grab the last baddie - you die. I've tried waiting, opening my walls (space) and using the arm to guide him in; them in; the last one in - you still DIE gardamnit :-o

Now you can help me out on level 6 of Law Keeper (see prev post!)

 

McKong you'll have to tell me where to go on Daylight Robbery - I get to the top left of the 1st screen and open the laser door thing but can't see what to do - I then go back right and can collect another number on the floor just inside the top right screen - wonder if you need to keep collecting numbers to keep opening this door??? Is that all there is to the game just 4 screens?!

After your previous helpful comment about opening the safe I will gladly tell you where to go :grin: .

 

Ok so each level consists of four screens, i think there are five levels if I remember rightly.

On each level you should pick up the envelope, which contains part of the combination to the safe, and, what I presume is a security pass which switches off the force field thing in the top left of all but the last level. Once you've deactivated the force field you should walk into the black lift shaft area to the left and push up on the joystick. Your dude should be transported upwards into the next level!

Yes on NTSC - As for Law Keeper I can't get past level 1 :D the 'long arm of the law' is too sluggish and again I keep getting hit by balls.

Had a go on Bank Bang for the first time. I liked it but it was a bit difficult to see the characters when it came to night, but I guess that's the idea! I'll give it another go if i get time.

Are you going to add some points incentives to the bonus games? Are we still finishing this round Sunday?

OK an extra point for the winner of each bonus game, and an extra one for anyone winning all 4... but that means I'll have to try even harder :-o

 

Thought I'd got away with deleting my helpful safe cracking tip for the wrong game - u sure you didn't knock that safe open screen up in BASIC?!!! For Bank Bang u might need to up the contrast on the TV - 1st time I played it was all black!!

Been playing Fred (diagonal to switch weapons) but need to be more patient...

Beat my score on Guard 5,441 for 1pt and just completed Heavy Metal (7 Jewels) for another (remember this is 1 HSC point per Jewel folks) now I must treat myself and buy the new Jethro Tull album apparently (scrolly message from Mr. Lay!)... weirdly they do have a new album out so perhaps I will buy that as the couple of tracks they've played on Planet Rock sound good; gotta make room in my Rock scheulde for a bit of Prog :D

After not having the patience to improve on Fred or Keystone had a serious blasting session on Super Cobra and managed to get 2/3 of the way through the 2nd level 68,050 (going straight through final stage so not to bag extra points!) :)

Bonus games are all kicking my butt... I may just have to post my lame scores just to get minimum bonus points

they are some tough mothers... I suspect for Getaway it's best to bag more points before ramming the white van so much... MaPa's 15K record looks pretty safe! Got to level 9 on Desmond's Dungeon - great game but gets tricky :skull:

Got a bit further with Cops 'n' Robbers 19,850 :) Getaway had another 3900+ go but need to either print off the map (on atarimania) or learn some routes to make more progress :ponder:

 

This round finishes in a few hours but there's still time to V*O*T*E for the next HSC game EVERYONE!
