Asaki Posted April 1, 2013 Share Posted April 1, 2013 Picked up Castlevania "Mirror of Fate" today. Just started it. Like it so far. Yeah, I tried the demo and surprisingly I didn't hate it. Though it does suffer from "this is a modern-day game so we will hold your hand with tutorials designed for tiny babies", and I wish it let you use the d-pad to walk around in addition to the analogue. I got a red 3DS XL from Target a few weeks ago on sale for $159. Figured this was the best time to get one. I also picked up Luigi's new game and got a free download of Super Mario 3D land. roland p Posted April 2, 2013 Share Posted April 2, 2013 I just finished Resident Evil DS within 7 hours something (I like exploring ). It seems you get extras when you finish under 3 hours... Next game will be Resident Evil Revelations (just bought it second hand) I hope it's as good as they say. Is it worth the money to get a circle pad for this game? I just haven't done so already because I have so many games in my "have to finish - need to start" inventory already that adding another new game now would mean it would just sit on the shelf for many months awaiting its turn in the rotation. It's ok, but I don't like the idea of 'levels' and I hate the 'previously on...' parts,that makes it look like a playable movie. It feels a bit like Alan Wake, but less linear and more exploration (alan wake was as linear as an on rails shooter) and you don't loose your weapons after each savepoint .
