VGS Update:

I am now accepting Advance payments For VGS.

General admission $6.00 per person (this is from now

until June 30th after that it's $8.00)

Visitor/delaer tables: 15.00 for one(this includes admission for two)

extra tables $5.00 each.

(There is a limit on GA and extra tables:

a limit of 5 people for General admission

and a limit of 3 extra tables)

I should have the site updated with more

information on how to pay

in couple days(it's in the middle of switching servers

now and the DNS takes about 2 days to switch).

I was going to have a contest to give

away the first two admissions but I decided to drop it.

E-mail me at my yahoo address and I'll fill you in on how to pay.

My crew and I are planning to be there. If I can get a good sized vehicle for the day, I'll bring a bunch of consoles and my Dreamcast standup store display! I figure that we'll rig the DC to emulate classic consoles or something.

I was also going to bring along some Amiga stuff for trade or sale. I have lots of Amiga leftovers and this'll be a good time to lighten the load.

Oh, and if anyone can bring a video projector we can crank some tunes and fire up the Atari Video Music. Let's make this a party guys!

At JVS is there going to be a Jaguar network hooked up? And if so what kind of set up are you thinking?

I seem to remember there being a Dave & Busters in the Lombard area.  At least we can bust some Karaoke!  :)  My old band used to rehearse in Lombard, so I'm sure that once there I'll remember the lay of the land a little better.

actually, the site of VGS used to be where putt-putt mini golf used to be way back when. those were the days.

Regarding power strips:

I am in NJ and won't be able to make it to the show.

BUT, my company is a lot smaller than we once were, and we have many extra power strips. If any of you will be going to the show from this area and want to pick up 10 or 15 power strips for use at the show (& then keep them, it's OK), let me know and I'll try to get them to you.

For those wondering about sizes of the tables at VGS:

They are 5 feet with 2 chairs.

Dan Iacovelli

(I have added this information to payment page at the VGS site)

For those wondering about the size of the room and basic lay out:

the room size is length 61' by 36' width.

the tables are surrounding the room (46 surrounding and 4 in the middle).

Quick update:

I went to see the room today.

the tables are 5 feet long and 2 feet wide.

there about 6 wall outlets in the room (about 2 on each wall)

the room is also on the lower level of the building.

(elevators are close by the room).

(to those on the list: I have uploaded the pic of the tables that will be used

at VGS to the yahoo group under photos in the vgs album, if you not the list e-mail me and I'll e-mail you the pic(if you want the layout let me know also)

I have my video projector connected to the VGA on my Dreamcast. Rez and Soul Calibur are fantastic at 6 feet diagonal. Space Channel 5 and part 2 also look really good (until the end where there is too much on screen). I tried the projector once with a Jaguar (s-video out) and it didn't look anywhere near as good. The resolution is just too low at that size.

We haven't decided if we are coming yet, but I have huge plastic tubs filled with systems and games I don't use anymore. I would need to figure out what's in them and how much to ask.

I could even try some more Lynx "Space Battles" playtesting if anyone was interested. The last three conventions we attended didn't provide much testing or feedback.
