HammR25
Farsight is trying to get The Pinball Arcade onto Steam via Greenlight which apparently greenlights the top vote getters so they need as many votes as possible. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=95907686
Atariboy
Why would they need to win a popularity contest to be able to be distributed via Steam?
Austin
Why would they need to win a popularity contest to be able to be distributed via Steam? Steam is picky apparently, and rumor has it they dislike pinball games.
+HatNJ
Maybe Farisight should concentrate on fixing the bugs in the systems they currently support than moving into another area to have even more bugs I like Pinball Arcade have it for PS3 and would like to see the problems fixed than attentions on adding Steam. No vote
onlysublime
LOL. when I read "no vote", I totally thought of the soup nazi. "no soup for you!" I agree. I'd rather they cut down on the number of platforms and fix the bugs then add even more platforms... If they were like Harmonix or Turn10 or some other company that is very good at sticking to schedules and releasing quality releases without hiccups, I'd be all for it. But it seems like they're a fly by the seat of your pants kind of operation.
cimerians
wtf?? I voted for it. If they can release it for the shitty Sony handheld they might as well release it on Steam which 'should be' far more stable.
Austin
I think they said it's already done on the PC. They just need a place to sell it.

I hope they TEST IT I wonder if anyone in their office simply hooks up an Xbox 360, PS3 or laptop and simply just tests things out. Is it that hard? I should ask them on facebook or something..... boog
I think they said it's already done on the PC. They just need a place to sell it. The problem is that Pinball Arcade will never be 'done'. They've shown repeatedly that they're spread too thin already and are unable to add new content/fix bugs consistently on any of their current platforms. Offering a PC version via Steam is just adding another mess for them to clean up every month(ish). They need to fix the software that existing customers have already paid for. They need to get their existing DLC catalog up to date for PS3/Vita/360. They need to finish the kickstarter tables that people have pledged money towards. Supporting another platform and dealing with another distribution service might cause them to implode... quarterly DLC releases? HammR25
I voted for it simply so PC users can enjoy the same experience console users have been able to enjoy so far. I'm wondering how many bugs it'll have if they can't even stamp out the bugs on closed systems like the 360 and PS3. I don't really understand why people are complaining about them testing stuff. They've got a large group of people who pay them to be beta testers. I've heard others calling those people customers.
onlysublime
Overall, I prefer the tables and feel of pinball in Pinball Arcade over Pinball FX2. Pinball FX2 is coming to the PC. Zen Studios is doing it the right way by keeping quiet and having quality predictable releases. They chose not to release on a zillion different platforms. You don't find any of the problems that FarSight is having. If I could Zen Studios's workmanship with Pinball Arcade's physics and tables, I'd jump for that. Supporting another platform and dealing with another distribution service might cause them to implode... quarterly DLC releases? You're preaching to the quire here. All of us that have invested in this project have been burned at some point or another (have people already forgotten how long it took for the 360 add-on packs to arrive?). But I don't think that the position they are currently in is all "doom 'n gloom". If you would prefer to look at it that way, then fine. It doesn't seem all bad to me: The smartphone/tablet releases are just as consistent as ever, they seem to have picked up a bit in regards to the release schedule for consoles, and the Kickstarter updates I am receiving from them (pledged on both tables) indicates that progress is coming along nicely on that front. Personally, I wouldn't worry so much about it. Bugs suck, yes, but look at who we are dealing with here (the Pinball Hall of Fame series wasn't exactly the most polished piece of work either, heh). And implosion? Come on man, I doubt that will happen even if they take on "too much work". It sounds like they are doing pretty well (financially speaking) from these releases. I say give PC gamers what they have been waiting for. They have been waiting around longer than any of us.

'Implosion' was sarcasm. But, my point is that they will have growing pains with another platform/distribution service. If they continue to take on more than they can handle it will probably cause more delays in DLC releases and more bugs. I'm not trying to be doom & gloom... I really wish they'd get it right... but after giving them $10 for the PS3 version they've offered nothing but disappointments. I've never seen a game with as many problems as Pinball Arcade on PS3. They released a bugfix patch for the PS3 slowdown last week and it caused all of the DLC tables to vanish at any resolution besides 1080p. They're working on another PS3 fix, and will offer PS3 users a free textured pinball download as an apology once they start selling those as add-on DLC. The promise of having all these tables is awesome but the reality of what they're offering is a mess. They just aren't making the effort to set things right for PS3/Vita/360. I don't believe that the delays are Sony/Microsoft's fault. Half-assed patches should be rejected. And, as they keep pushing for more platforms, forcing DLC double dips, kickstarting tables (so they don't have to front cash/risk anything), and soon selling textured pinballs, I'm stuck with the feeling that they're just exploiting the community's passion. I definitely prefered the Pinball Hall of Fame series to PBA. I'd be much happier if they just released a PHoF Vol.2 retail game with a dozen tables that actually work.
