What level of knowledge you have of 6502 in general and the C64 hardware and OS can also be a deciding factor.

You can know the machine backwards but nobody can be expected to remember the variable/register names and locations so as a minimum the quick reference sections/sheets are useful to everyone.

The C= PRG is useful but doesn't go too in depth with the hardware and doesn't have any of the modern day tricks.

The C= hacking notes are a worthwhile read, they have lots of articles on most of the hardware exploits. Here's a zip archive, Notepad probably won't show them properly, use Wordpad or a WP that handles different formats. There's 21 of them, I don't know if any new ones have come out since I got them.

There's also a whole bunch of Commodore books that you can download here http://www.bombjack.org/commodore/books.htm

Thanks Rybags!

Yeah, my knowledge is way low... but I am having fun a long the way!

Just learning now how to use DASM/Crimson Editor/Vice together and have started to "dabble" with examples from some books.

Thanks for the ZIP file, I'll definitely check it out!

Hi Fratzengeballer!

Thanks for this great resource!

I seems that the C64 was quite popular in Germany as well as the States. I see quite a bit of good information on the C64 that appears to come or reside in Germany.
