HSC9 Round 16: Tiger Attack

Recommended Posts

New score 8,000

That was a hard earned 8k

Looking forward to the next game poll. :)

there's only a few attack patterns to learn, use the H-scroll to take evasive action and if they're lurking at the bottom (the yellow ones usually) just stay above them and wait for them to go.... with a bit of practice you can get to the extra man at 10K ;)

I'll put the next vote on tomorrow - New players you're welcome to add 5 games you'd like to play to the 'games list' (link below) :)

Great score Trbb, but I beat my last score to new one: 146600 ;)

In my opinion - later is easier...

Wow

looks like Sikor may have a good chance for his first win of the Season ;)

Did you manage to use the bombs by being careful or are you ignoring them like me?

Is this game buggy? I scored something like 5,850 on my first try and then I played again a few times...think I got a little over 6,000, but when it took me to the high score screen it said I had scored 44,850. Tried to put my name in and half the letters were missing and when I finally put something in, the game locked up.

There was like a half dozen versions of this when I went to d/l it...

So....

Tiger Attack - 5,850 (score is No. 5)

On first screens I try use it all - after them I ignore all bombs, there are totally unfunkcional for this game :(

I agree; I just think of them as a bonus as they often go off when you are under pressure and moving up the screen. Still it's a very good and challenging game... finally blew it at 124,700 :-o

Yeah, I got it to load on Altirra...APE is the Atari Periphrial Emulator (SIO2PC) from AtariMax.com...a device you hook up between your PC and a real Atari computer. It lets you run the files off your PC onto your real Atari machine. I've never loaded a .CAS file on it so I'm not sure how to get the file to run (I loaded it, but I don't know what to do after that to run it).

Since I do not know what APE is..I am afraid I cannot help you...I am using Windows XP professional with the Altirra and Atari Win 800 emulators

I have APE too - for most games there is usually an XEX or ATR that works... I've never tried a .CAS file either but think it supports them [Click on Cassette Playback - select your .CAS file then probably boot the atari with START and OPTION held then press return - then click play on APE]. Let me know if you still need any help :) [if this works I might try to see if there is a .CAS ver of 'The Tail of Beta Lyrae' as all the disk versions have corruption/or the gravity balls feature is missing I remembered this was a disk ver. feature] [wonder if it loads more quickly that real tapes :D ]

It was easy to load the .CAS file through APE...but it took forever...and then the APE program said something like "Ready to play game" but I have no idea how...or any evidence that it had gone from my PC to my Atari...

Guess I'll shoot an email to Steve Tucker...
