I've see that system before on a website about video game history; then I went to eBay and saw the price!! $800 average!
twoquickcapri
If you're willing to go through the trouble of Yahoo Japan auction you can get one for 20,000 yen + fees. Edited October 30, 2012 by twoquickcapri
ydcl
If you're willing to go through the trouble of Yahoo Japan auction you can get one for 20,000 yen + fees. How does that work? They ship here and I can pay with dollars?
ydcl
Okay, I just made a Yahoo Japan account after using chrome translate... will look and see what I can find and if it's cheaper than here.
ydcl
Oh, just thought of it... How do we pay? I don't see a PayPal option.
number six
Isn't there a proxy service for japanese auctions? Somebody mentioned something about that.. might be cool to look into. I've been trying to get a sharp twin famicom for awhile and those are expensive on US ebay as well.
twoquickcapri
Yahoo Japan normal will only do business with other Japanese people. You will need to use a third party like http://www.rinkya.com . They charge you a fee based on the sale price of the item, then pick it up and send it to you. the.golden.ax
Yeah, I've never gotten someone on ePay Japan to sell to me. Didn't even know there was a service that would help you out. Often times I find exactly what I'm looking for (usually a part) and can't get it.

Austin
LOL (again). Let me pull $200 out of my ass for a handful of games that are barely worth a damn (and are all stupid expensive on their own).

Austin
Brand new/sealed units were appearing on eBay over the last year between $400 and $500. Asides from that, pricing on them is hard to gauge. They don't appear with the regularity that even something like the PC-FX does.
twoquickcapri
Can't believe i forgot this one option #6 Philips CD-i The 32bit-ish CD not really a gaming console. Not sure what a Pippin goes for, never tried to buy one. PC-FX sale for around $150+shipping on ebay, but only around 6000 yen on Jp.yahoo. Out of this pre-Saturn and post-SNES generation of consoles I would list them in this order. 1. 3do 2. Jaguar 3. CD32 4. FM towns Marty 5. PC-FX 6. CD-i 7. Pippin Edited November 1, 2012 by twoquickcapri

twoquickcapri
Personally I like the Jaguar the most, but realistically the 3do a better console.
