Good topic. In 2012, I had some good luck finding rare items on eBay. Not really sure how I would rank these, so I'll list them by order of acquisition.

NSIB Spectrecade Blast Droids for Bally Astrocade (December)

NSIB Sylvania Intellivision (August)

Cuttle Cart 2 (July)

Atari 5200 "Kiosk" Cart Shell (June)

Atari 5200 Carrying Case (May)

Five ColecoVision Cardboard Counter Displays (January)

Coleco Press Kits (January)*

* retroillucid has these now! :)

For starters, Xtincthed, I was saddened to see you give the Playstation Collecting site over to Nintendo Age.

3. Added my first Yurkie modded Colecovision to the collection

In terms of gaming enjoyment, my favorite addition to my collection in 2012 would be hard to pick. But if we're talking deals, then my top 5 would look something like this:

5. Intellivision Truckin' CIB (missing one overlay, but has map) - $3

4. N64 Mario Party 2, Mario Party 3, and Super Smash Bros. - $10 total

3. basically sealed Vice: Project Doom for NES - the equivalent of under $1

2. box of 40 Intellivision CIB games (including World Series Major League Baseball), plus a basically CIB Super Pro System - $75

1. 27 Genesis, 17 SNES, 35 PlayStation, 17 Saturn, and 12 N64 games, plus a half-dozen other games for various systems, plus assorted systems, controllers, memory cards, and other paraphernalia filling 8-9 cardboard boxes - $20

Best of all? Three out of five of these were actually my fiancée's finds. :D

Oh heck. My best finds in no particular order were probably an Inty 1 console and a 5200 controller with a Rev 9 flex circuit. Third would probably be a GamCube LAN adapter, fourth would be the Raiden Project (which I already have, so I left it behind), fifth would be Shuttle Orbiter.
