MAGfest 2012, January 3 - 6

Just a heads up that MAGfest is back and begins tomorrow! It's located at the National Harbor in Maryland, just across the VA border from i495 South (for anyone familiar with the area). In many ways MAGfest is like other popular conventions, featuring guest speakers, panels, a marketplace, the usual console play areas, and more. Unlike other conventions though, it is heavily music-oriented, featuring videogame cover bands live around the clock as well as other related acts (Yuzo Koshiro will be in attendance this year!). The biggest draw for some (myself included) is the absolutely massive arcade room, where all games are set to free-play (there are loads of golden-age era games for the older folks out there). There will also be a nice selection of pinball machines this year as well, at least twenty from what I can tell (about double what was there last year).
