When I got a copy, it was a hit amongst many of my friends, and played many multiplayer games..  and they weren't all braniacs.    So I don't think the game is too complex,  i think it's more that people didn't know about it, and it's a hard game to describe to tell people why they should play.

So it was a launch of 5 games at once (with more titles added later in 1983):

Archon, M.U.L.E., Axis Assassin, Hard Hat Mack and Worms?. I don't know if they all were priced equally or which one eventually sold the most - probably Archon. I'd guess HHM was in third place, AA in fourth and the strange worms game in last place.

I don't think Axis Assassin or Worms ever had much buzz.  HHM was an arcade platformer, a genre popular at the time, so it may have sold better than we think.

(1) Happened to Green computer on the very same river/food plot!
(2) Sold my lone spare food unit for $369 !!
(3) I considered replacing a 1-star crystite mule for a 2-star food mule. It would have yielded me about 750 points more at the end.
