For me it's a tough game as you have to concentrate AND act rather quick. If you play on an emulator and have a decent key layout it's probably easier than playing on the real thing with a joystick. Took me a little while to figure things out. You don't really need lightning fast reactions. Just take your time. When you're in a safe place, take a couple of seconds to figure out what obstacles are in your way and get ready for them when you get moving again. You can also jetboot straight over gaps left by elevators. Just don't stop over one. And jumping on the platform above a creature will cause it to fall. I actually have a new high score of 35000+. I'll post it later. From a game design viewpoint it's got a lot of interesting elements that make it stand out from other platform games. I'm inviting all HSC to the second annual Knock Out Competition and I think I forgot the 8-bit atari computers... Well, maybe it's still a good time to add the knock out "feature" to this new HSC... It's still possible to wait the end of this season and then begin a knock out one... Anyway, I just wanted to invite you all to join us in the biggest AA tourney possible. I agree... probably comes in there behind DK, BBSB, Miner, Mr Robot (and Desmond's Dungeon) as one of the best single screen platformers, perhaps It could just do with some more screens! It's a really long time since I've played JBJ but having some HSC scores to go for makes it more fun Didn't beat my score but improved on the bonus challenges (see post 1) 1st screen 5,700 5,870 5,900 (think this is the max?!)
