The trakball, on the other hand, is AWESOME with this game. Graphics and sound are amazing for the 5200. A must-have addition to any collection. Now that I think about it, Gyruss works well with my Competition Pro digital stick as long as I have the analog stick that's attached perfectly centered. I remember Gyruss being very picky with a variety of sticks working in different ways. The Comp Pro was the only way to go. Maybe I just need more practice. The joystick is very fast and takes some getting use to. I got 10,100 on my second try. The best way to play is probably with track ball while listening to the Tempest 2000 soundtrack. Thanks Al. CRTGAMER Posted March 2, 2013 Share Posted March 2, 2013 (edited) It's called "Midway Presents Arcade's Greatest Hits: The Atari Collection 1" Long title IMO. There's also a Williams collection but their not as good as the Atari collection. It's a faithful enough port although you have to use a D-pad instead of a spinner. There's also a couple of sixth gen "remixes" on PS1 and Jag, aka "Tempest 2000". I've got the PS1 game but I haven't played it yet. Looking forward to 5200 Tempest, I recieved the EMail Confirmation a couple of days ago! I'm going nuts! @ stardust - You really should pop that PS1 Tempest X3 in, it really is good. The Williams Atari Collection also can be played with a mouse or Trakball with a Smart Joy Frag adapter. If you are Spinner nuts like me take it a step further with a modded Spinner. Maybe might try the 5200 paddle mod later on?
