+Gemintronic
I think the American carts may be bigger. Have you tried inserting a Game Genie FIRST and then the US game?

+Gemintronic
Another problem is the region lock. It checks to see if you're US or EU. That's why you'll see different ROMs for the same game on emulation sites.
Reaperman
A quick eaby search seems to confirm that they exist. Generally they had two cart slots on them--one for a game from the region, one for whatever you wanted to play. There are a few examples on ebay right now, like: http://www.ebay.com/...=item27cba526bc I'm not fully sure why the full 2-cart adapters seem to be common here in the US. I would have thought they'd be rarer than rare. To my knowledge the US system is not region locked through software. Game Genie works great for us. here are some more: http://www.ebay.com/...=item43b9cf6adc http://www.ebay.com/...=item27cfbc37e6 http://www.ebay.com/...=item3a7f61c681 Edited March 16, 2013 by Reaperman
