YARS Revenge Arcade Machine

Well i guess some people like making stuff and some dont, For me being able to not only scratch build an entire cabinet but the continued enjoyment of playing it and knowing you made it is better than anything else.

Admittedly these things can also be very trying especially when your building them in two days flat out, I have probably been close to tears a few times, Ive just finished building a neo geo MVS and am literally taking it home in about an hour from now but this one had me pulling my hair out, I built the cabinet and just mocked up the monitor fittings only to discover the monitor had now stopped working so i had to dash out and buy another which was a different size meaning i had to rip all the mountings out and fabricate brand new ones.

Things like this can be trying when your under the hammer but i have to keep focussed on the prize because i know that when i get that thing home and power it up its gonna be awesome.

but like i said it depends on each person and what you get from it, i could personally build these things all day long im only hindered by space :)

This thread gave me a huge smile as it's me who coded the Vector's Revenge remake of YARS :)

Howard Scott Warshaw gave me his blessing for the remake too which made me very proud.

It's strange and awesome seeing photos of my game being played on an arcade cab.

Anyone who is still looking for this can find it on my homepage link in my sig. :D

Interesting, but back in the day, I think Atari could have made a better-looking arcade cabinet for the game if they so desired.

Had the Tramiels got their hands on the Atari Games Corp, the arcade cabinets would've resembled this but with silver labeling and the artwork done in monochrome.
