Edit_5
Is it possible to convert a game that's NTSC into PAL? I would have thought that the machines themselves where either NTSC or PAL, not the games and that they would have been generic and ready to use anywhere. Any pointers would be great, and most of all is it worth it?
CPUWIZ
Yes it's possible, Thomas J. for instance has done this many times. You can find the conversions on this page: http://www.atariage.com/software_conversions.html

EricBall
NTSC to PAL conversion requires the following: - number of lines (192 vs 228 onscreen, 262 vs 312 total) - refresh rate (60Hz vs 50Hz), which may impact gamespeed - colours (PAL has fewer colours than NTSC and different numbering) After going to the trouble of creating a PAL version of Skeleton, I am doublely impressed with Thomas Jentzsch's "hacks".
