adam242
Bumped my Seaquest score to 91240. And I'll throw my hat in for Callisto (13055) and start a board for HAR'em (13600). Sweet, tough couple of shooters!
+therealbountybob
If anyone wants to play more than 5 bonus games knock yourself out! - there might be some additional bonuses kicking around (not for myself or McKong to keep things fair) Just played Asteroids on main TV finally improved after turning all the lights off - wow it's really like 1979 again in the UK On my regular 14" CRT I get some awesome artifacting so will take a photo to show you guys. Then played Line Runner a game where you need to remember to breathe! keep getting stuck on the exact same part of Level 4 of this one, a bit off putting - you can start on any level and the points are fixed per level / infinite lives so play any/all levels and we'll keep track of who has completed the most Was a weird moment switching the TV back on and was the Golf in full colour (I had it on max for the Atari) after being in mono world for an hour or so. Well done Mr.242 Caverns of Mars Bonus point earned there me thinks. So JDH made the fish swim to the top by turning the tank on it's side Think Callisto and HAR'er are also on my to play list - Callisto is completeable, you can soon learn the layouts and baddies attacks afer a while. There will be a max posssible score for this game. The HAR'em 2nd round is deliberately hard but it at least keeps the game going - you need to get two speeds not three - you can shoot the power-ups for extra points Will put some sort of table on tomorrow folks
roadrunner
Line Runner 197 Still stuck on level 1 but escape goes back to the main menu. HS - high score
+therealbountybob
Line Runner 197 Still stuck on level 1 but escape goes back to the main menu. HS - high score 197 tap L/R to select levels - press fire to use slow mo - might be a PAL game so adjust emu vid settings if required - does take some getting into the zone - you get infinite tries and the score is reset each life

I thought this game had infinite lives. I'll try out the other levels and maybe some of the other games in that folder. But i'm doing good at Seaquest

+therealbountybob
Had a play on Amaurote+ If you've not played this here's a quick guide: Press SELECT to toggle radar; shows nearest BUG/location of BOMBs (parachuted in)/BUG BASE CENTRAL ok I'm making this up (as usual)... shoot off a few bombs towards the bugs - walk away from them then turn and fire from a few squares away - if they get too near to you your pretty much toast unless you can reach the Option/F4 key in time, but you can walk through them and away to the sides - stay on the roads or clear areas other terrain may be used but limits your movement options. To complete a level: Kill all the bugs (not sure if you need to) Get the Super Bomb Wipe out Bug Base Central (see screenshot) NOTE: if you have no bombs and get the Super Bomb it doesn't work as I found out - so you'll need to request more bombs. Press OPTION to request Super Bomb/more bombs/or get Repaired - all take Dosh off you but it's about completing the levels. I managed to beat Tara Awesome graphics in this one and great artifacing on old CRT TV Also played another game that needs the keyboard handy (press return to open doors) Plan B which is ok but could be a lot better: you get hit too easily, too easy to shoot the power-ups/life restorers etc. Will warrant further play though
justin case
Pacman (1982) 29030 - I always sucked at this game as a young 'un and now I think I expect to perform badly: 29030

+therealbountybob
Impressive play on Line Runner Darthkur I had a bash on HAR'em best score 27,500 got to the third stage and Rocket Rescue - a Turbo BASIC game in the Lunar Lander mould from one of our new programmers & atariage member 'Grevle' I would have completed the 2nd round but I forgot to go back to rescue more men after crashing due to impatient joystick handing

jblenkle
Qix - 89,628 Another slight improvement... TheRealBountyBob...thanks for the tips...I had no idea holding the fire button gave you double points. As for a central pillar, I do that sometimes depending on which screen I'm on. So far neither has helped me a whole lot. I thought the double points would shoot my score up, but only a slight improvement.
+therealbountybob
Honing in on NIKON's score in Asteroids 23,480, absolutely fantastic game once you get into it and Callisto 60,315 nearly completed 4th and final stage. These two plus HAR'em makes for some serious button mashing goodness I'll keep The Tables on Post #42 post and update them; I've added in the recent posts from the Munich HSC players
