Instead of creating a new topic I figured I'd bump this. Hard to believe it's been something like a year and a half since it was announced. I've been playing the demo available from Steam and I'm liking it so far. When I watched some of the early gameplay footage, it just looked like a reskinned RE4 with updated controls. Well it does feel like it could have been a true sequel to RE4, it's not just a reskinned RE4 clone. Stealth is playing a major part of the game because ammo, and even health, is even more scarce than the original Resident Evil. It actually reminds me of how the ammo situation was in ZombiU before they unfortunately patched it.

 

You can sneak up on enemies to stealth kill them with a knife, and that's what my play style has been since ammo is super scarce. Unfortunately, unless I'm missing something, you can't use it when you're out of bullets. This is the only problem I have so far, but it's a pretty huge one that just pisses me off. Just think about it. Your guy is out of ammo and has a knife. Instead of using said knife, he can only use it for stealth kills and instead flails his hands and feet for a worthless melee attack. That's extremely cheap if they took the ability to use the knife outside stealth kills to make the game harder. Besides that I'm enjoying what I've played so far. If they would have fixed that stupid knife gameplay, I wouldn't have a problem buying this at full price because the game would have been more playable. But if it's for sale sometime for 29.99 then I'd buy it. So far it isn't really that scary, then again after Alien: Isolation a lot of games are less scary, but it's been entertaining in it's own way.
