This round we are going to play Adventure Island. PRIZE ALERT From here on out, I am going to post a "prize pool" each week consisting of 3 prizes. That round's winner will get to choose from the three items, and a new item will be added. People are welcome to donate any Nintendo-related items to be used in the pool. Doing so will allow you to pick a game to be played. This round ends on Monday, May 20th. darthkur Posted May 10, 2013 Share Posted May 10, 2013 139,670 I love this game. It's quite challenging, unforgiving at parts and without continues a bit frustrating but it's still a lot of fun. There's lots of hidden extras throughout. It's usually best to keep shooting all the time for it allows you to find the invisible eggs and platforms. When you notice that your shots are stopping in mid air you need to get int that exact spot and jump straight up. Jump on the now visible egg and fetch the goodies inside. Adventure Island began as a port of that but ended up being changed significantly and became it's own series. Oddly enough the subsequent Adv Isl games kept the same "run and jump" platform style while the later Wonderboy ones became riddled with RPG elements.
