GroovyBee
I'm putting together a multi mini game cart with a Mars theme. The cart will have four mini games :- Caverns <---- Click to animate The object of the game is to guide your spacecraft along the Mars cavern avoiding the walls and obstacles in your path. The scrolling is smooth in the real game its just the gifeo making it look choppy . Its very loosely based on SFCave. For those unfamiliar with the game genre it only uses one button. Yep! One!!! When you press the button you apply upward thrust to your ship. The longer you press down on the button the more thrust you apply. To fall, you stop pressing the button and gravity takes over. Descent <---- Click to animate Your mission is to land your ship in the designated place on the surface of Mars. You control the ship's main and side thrusters and only have a limited amount of fuel to complete the mission. Menace <---- Click to animate Your mission is to defend Earth from the oncoming Martian invasion. Defense <---- Click to animate Your mission is to defend the planetary defense space station from the incoming Martian attack waves. The game borrows heavily from Jeff Minter's Laser Zone game on the VIC-20. Games are chosen from the built in menu (not played consecutively) :- <---- Click to animate The menu is a work in progress. It'll display your stats on all the mini games and perhaps some kind of Decathlon style scoring system. Both Descent and Caverns have a procedurally generated fractal landscape and any obstacles are placed randomly in the scene. Hopefully, this keeps the replay value up because the games are different every time you play. To add to the challenge the final games will each have several difficulty settings too. Teaser ROM #1 (02/06/13) The ROM has been tested on the following :- PAL - Tested using CC3. jzintv - Works as expected. Nostalgia v5.0 - Works but scrolling is very jerky. Bliss v2.0.5 - Works as expected. The game has speech but no music or sound effects. mars_minis_teaser_rom#1.rom Pre-order closed!

Ignorama
Damn, thats awesome. The first game reminds me to Superfly on the Jaguar. Ignorama
I hope its no problem for you Groovy, I spread the word again and shared the news with the community of nexgam I know the Inty-fanbase is small there, but I am working to fix that problem: http://forum.nexgam.de/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=80938&highlight=
+CyranoJ
The first game reminds me to Superfly on the Jaguar Seems only fair given Rocketeer! You know, GB, the Inty doesn't have a Downfall yet.......
LidLikesIntellivision
Great! I'm going to send a pm to pre-order in early June. I would like to confirm KillBotz' pre-order didn't start. I don't remember reading about KillBotz' price or if we already can pre-order KillBotz. --- BTW, mars mini games reminded me of Escape the Mind Master's mini games. I wonder if it's a good idea to add a final score like that game...
GroovyBee
Damn, thats awesome. The first game reminds me to Superfly on the Jaguar. Thanks for the compliment. Yep! Its the same style as SuperFly DX on the jag. However, Caverns is just the bare essentials of the game which makes it a mini (or micro ) version when compared to Reboot's title.

GroovyBee
Seems only fair given Rocketeer! You know, GB, the Inty doesn't have a Downfall yet....... True! Maybe I could Marsify it? Downfall has randomly placed platforms which would fit in with the coding theme I've got going on.

GroovyBee
pm just sent. first game is similar to this flash game that I wasted many hrs on http://www.helicoptergame.net/ Yep! Except the Inty version doesn't have the scrolling issue on the left of its screen and has pixel perfect collision detection .
