jaybird3rd
I've been thinking about fun things to do to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Mattel Aquarius this summer (aside for new homebrew releases, of course), and one idea is to create a commemorative Aquarius t-shirt. There are lots of shirt printers in my area (I live in a college town), and they don't seem to be too busy during the summer months, so I'm hoping that I can offer these for around $15 each. I've added a poll so that, if you'd be interested in buying an Aquarius shirt, you can select your shirt size from the list. That will give me an idea of the level of interest, and also of the distribution of shirt sizes I should order. All shirt sizes are American adult male sizes; the largest sizes might cost a bit extra. As for the design, I'm thinking of using a straightforward Aquarius logo, much like you'd see on the back of the old Aquarius game manuals, but I'm of course eager to hear other suggestions or ideas: EDIT: I think I've changed my mind about the logo. I noticed that Radofin added an extra line to their multilingual logo ... ... so I figure I can add a "30th Anniversary" message in the same way: Here's how it would look on the shirt. Again, feedback or additional ideas are welcome!
Games For Your Intellivision
I suggest putting it on Cafe Press and having people order. I made some D2K Arcade T-shirts, and they sell very very poorly. Your mileage may vary.

Aquaman
Maybe if we could get someone from Mattel, Blue Sky Rangers or Radofin who was involved with the Aquarius to sign these? That would make it really cool!
mvdsteenoven
I like that 30th anniversary logo Maybe we can donate one to Sheldon of the big bang theory; he used to walk around in retro computer tshirts.

Imagine If he would wear it at one of the Big Bang episodes(PS I wouldn't mind donating one to Penny too )
stupus
Very cool idea Shirts would look sweet. Also happy to see the pole wasnt set up to gauge the obesity of Aquarius owners. However we do seem to generally lay on the hefty side it appears from the bargraph

jaybird3rd
Thanks, everybody! Glad to see some interest. For some reason, I hadn't even thought of CafePress and other similar places, so I'll have to shop around; I'm just hoping to keep the price as low as possible. I didn't realize that the shirt size poll might be potentially embarrassing, either, but at least it's an anonymous poll. (For the sake of full disclosure, since I'm the one who started this thing ... I presently wear an XL shirt, although I'm hoping to get myself back down to a large by the end of this summer.) jaybird3rd
Maybe we should put Burgertime on the front of the shirt Hmmm, perhaps I should work in some Aquarius game characters: Peter Pepper and the "bad food" from BurgerTime, the "running man" and robots from Night Stalker, an AD&D Treasure of Tarmin monster, etc. Speaking of the design ... one thing I just realized is that shirt printers seem to have a four-color limit, which wouldn't be enough for a color Aquarius logo. I could switch to a monochrome logo, but I'd hate to do that unless I absolutely had to. I'll keep researching my options.

To avoid the hassle with the shirt sizes you could also try some other really eighties kind of thing like buttons. In those days we used to wear these on our beloved Jeans jackets showing what bands and other stuff we liked! Keychains would also be nice option. All these items can be ordered quite cheap with an own design on the front. Maybe you could make a poll to see what items would be the most appreciated among the Aquarius fans? Anyway whatever it will be, you can count me in! Edited May 23, 2013 by Aquaman

I've also got an idea for a unique Aquarius keychain design, but you'll never guess what I'll be using to make them! (I'll give you a hint: it won't be a printed tag with an Aquarius logo, but an authentic piece of vintage Aquarius hardware.) I'll post a picture once I have the materials on hand. I like the idea of making buttons; as you say, they wouldn't have the same hassles and color restrictions of shirts, and they'd be cheaper and more durable also. I'll definitely look into this. jaybird3rd
how are we supposed to put our keys in our pocket with an aquaricart attached to them? Nope, not an Aquaricart. That would be way too big and bulky, and besides, it isn't vintage hardware. But your guess is not far off the mark.
voltron
speaking of aquacarts i need one. My aquacart was stolen along with some of my voltron items i had purchased. I have been working on a new one, which I made by mixing blue and yellow. I call it......blellow
