I have no financial interest or connection with this person, other than purchasing mine from him. However since the items do not usually become available on a regular basis, or in these numbers, I thought I'd post it for those who have been waiting and do not want to miss an opportunity to buy one.

>> HERE << is the Ebay link.

All gone. :), and thank you Kevan for bringing it to my attention.

My pleasure! That's what the board is all about right, having the other guys's back and helping each other in the pursuit of our hobby.

I'm beginning to think there are more people just watching these boards than participating. After I posted the word on this and the other site about the availability, the numbers started dropping, fast. Heck, six of them sold in the first hour before I went to bed. But here is the kicker, >> THIS POLL << as of the time I posted it say's only 4 people wanted a Nano-PEB and he sold all 10 quickly. The number is DOUBLE for people wanting an F18A, does that mean 19 other buyers (besides me) out there waiting to snatch one up?.

Well let's face it: If you want to play with real hardware, then the CF7+ or NanoPeb is almost a must unless you want to use exotic cards like a SAMS or a P-Code card.

While it does not quite replace a PEB, it will fit the need of most users. Really one the most useful devices ever made for the TI (the F18A VGA board is a close second :) )

I'd love to have a REAL PEB, my problem is lack of space. So I agree, the Cf7+/NanoPEB is a must. The beauty about the F18A is that BOTH the CF7+ guys and the P-Box users can both use the F18A.

From what I've seen our little community is GROWING, thanks to the likes of Matthew and Jamie for their FANTASTIC hardware hacks. THANKS GUYS!

Jaime has sold well over 250 of these to the community (I just counted his feedback comments for them)--so there are a LOT of folks out there with CF7 devices. Demand hasn't slacked over the years either, so it is safe to say that there are probably a lot more folks looking for them. It is definitely one of the more popular TI hardware items since the year 2000. . .about the only thing that has sold more are the cartridge boards from Jon.

So Tempting..

I see the price went up.. I keep waiting to see if a new design comes out.... I don't know... I am funny that way..

I was thinking the same way, but then I could have waited forever and missed out on a lot of fun. If another design that I like comes out, I'll probably buy.

What I REALLY wish to see is a newly designed Nano-PEB is:

1) Fit's in the Speech Synthesizer Case (I do not like my electronics exposed, and I like things to look good too)

2) Uses an SD or USB memory (It would be nice to be able to run down and my memory whenever I wanted to)

3) Allows itself to be daisy chained with the Speech Synthesizer (two of them would not look bad or take up much room)

I saw these just moments before your post, and then knew I should go ahead and order one before they sold out! They went quickly.

I'm a complete noob when it comes to this item, so is the link on the auction page the best resource to get up and running? I want to play ToD (which I own), and would be grateful if someone would point me in a direction that would walk me through the process. Thanks!

I would imagine it's pretty simple to set up - but I am just guessing ;). As far as ToD is concerned, you'll just need a means to get that off your disk and onto your flash.

There is documentation here.

Good luck!

  • 2 weeks later...

This and the CF+7 are cool products, but when is a device going to come along that allows the CF card (better yet, an SD card) to be formatted as FAT? So all you have to do is drag and drop TI files onto the card via a Mac and use it straight away with the TI?? Is this not possible yet?

Jamie has patched the software version of HDX1 to work on the new nanopeb2

I have posted this application at http://webpages.charter.net/nanopeb/.

Documentation is under the works. Also, I'm looking at TELCO for conversion.

Also cf2k is now supporting it as well:

Hi all,

An updated version of Cf2k v2.2 is available here:

http://home.vodafonethuis.nl/fgkaal/

Cf2k searches the DSR for a printer port.

If it find "PIO." it is a Cf7+

If it find "SIO." it is a nanoPEB

If it find "COM1." it is a nanaoPEB2

Could not test it myself (yet), but if a nanoPEB 2

owner will do this and post the results I would

appreciate it.

enjoy,

Fred ;-)
