One of my fav TI games is AtariSoft Moon Patrol.

I have the cart, but would like to play on the laptop from time to time.

I have tried and tried to create a Cart image but I cannot get it to work..

I get the title screen and can choose level, but it crashes after the music.

Any help would be wonderful... :)

Thanks,

Gene

Cannot connect via a browser. I guess I'll need and ftp client?

When I try to connect I get:

The connection was reset

Thanks sometimes99er..

I unzipped, and tried to create the cart again using these bin files, but still no luck.

I get up to the game starting! I can select course and level, but the game/emulator restarts when game play should begin.

I am not using grom, I put moonpatc.bin in rom 1st and moonpatd.bin in rom 2nd. I have tried all options I can see...

"It's been 20 years now and I am starting to lose confidence".... Inigo Montoya

From Win994a select Carts, Insert Cartridge...

Select Cart Creator.

Input a Title (like "moonpatrol").

Checkmark "Has 1st 8K Page ROM Memory". Browse and select moonpatc.bin

Checkmark "Has 2nd 8K Page ROM Memory". Browse and select moonpatd.bin

Select Create Cart.

Now select your new cartridge and select Insert Cart.

:)

Extract moonpatc.bin and moonpatc.bin to your .../Classic99 folder.

From Classic99 select Cartridge, User, Open...

Select only moonpatc.bin (Classic99 will try and look for other files)

:)

I'll try this when I get home tonight.....

I am doing exactly what you suggest for the Cart Creation.. I have done others in the past with no problem.

Just Moon Patrol has been a problem! Strange. I thought I had a bad BIN file, but this is the 3rd source and still no luck.

I am hoping Classic99 will work as you suggested... :) Fingers crossed.

Hey, there is an easier way if you just want to play it on your laptop in Classic99.

1) Download this FIAD Directory: https://www.wetransfer.com/downloads/c788f77790aebde430696a460b663b9920130702191838/ed675d

2) UnZIP and put the files in a folder under your chosen Classic99 directory.

3) Set Classic99 to link to it as DSK1.

4) Set the Virtual Extended BASIC cartridge

5) Load it up and ENJOY!

There quite a few of the BEST TI-99/4A games under that BOOT MENU!
