Rev's site identifies 3 levels of the 125 club. One is for all CIB, one allows for carts only, one allows for 124 (missing Spiker). Sorry for no link. I could only imagine the amount of work that goes into taking all of the necessary pictures and writing descriptions for all of these sub-collections. Hey, maybe I should have my own section! Lol! Actually the CBS/Coleco thread was Rev's, mine is still in the pictures already taken, but verbiage not yet written, stage. Mine will be very complete, although I am aware of what I'm still missing as there are a couple. Many of these I need to send to Steve for his site. As I was away from my collection for the better part of six months it's been difficult creating new threads and finishing off trades with so many of you as I had about 100 boxes to unpack and I'm not really that close to completely organizing it in my new house. I'll make sure to number each variant when I make the threads. In fact, I have sort of done so in the smaller subset threads. I do have 80 of the 125 sealed now…and if I count "New" non-shrinkwrapped as Sealed many more. Things like Pitfall and later versions that were not shrinkwrapped. At this time I an only missing 4 boxed home brews (not counting those variants as well). With all upcoming games with Pre-Orders pre-ordered. Have all 125 CIB. In general I am going off the deep end. Also most game system complete library lists focus on games released in a given region. So why include tutankham and make it all games released worldwide and not list for north america or europe or what not. Is this done because so few games were released for the system? freewheel Posted September 17, 2014 Share Posted September 17, 2014 1. Pre-crash stuff tends to be tracked differently. Many if not most 2600 lists include Starpath games, for example. It's just that there were a lot fewer games released for these systems so they get lumped together (even with the 2600's 400+, that's nothing compared to the post-NES era). Of course there are exceptions (O2/Videopac, or the mess that is the Arcadia) but for the main systems this holds true. 2. Expansion units had very tiny libraries back then. The SegaCD and 32X had dozens of games each. So it makes sense to track them separately. The ECS games add up to what, 6 or 8? 3. Even with the Genesis, personally I track them together. It's still the same system, albeit with add-ons required. I don't see this being much different than Coleco games that require the Super Action Controllers, or NES games that require a light gun. Those all go on the base list in my book. 4. As for region - was Tutankham not released in North America? I never knew that! But yeah I suspect you're seeing 2 things - first, the small library the INTV had. But second - and I think more importantly - it's the first system that had a complete game list online thanks to the BSR folks. Even today people argue about what should and should not appear on a 2600 list, or an NES list, or what have you. The INTV has a very definable game list that's been referenced for nearly 20 years now. It's not just the collector community trying to figure it out decades later as is the case with most other systems. If it showed up on the BSR website, people counted it. 5. FWIW, there were 6 ECS titles and 4 (or 5) Intellivoice titles. The World Series Major League Baseball game required the ECS, but also had Intellivoice features - which were added atmosphere, not required to play the game, so it has the distinction of being cross-listed in both categories.
