That Canadian eBay seller in BC, that been selling ONLY one good piece of hardware per week, now has an Horizon 3000 ramdisk up for sale, and already the bidding war as started, just over $200 loonies so far, I suspect we will see it end around $350 Canadian at least by the time it ends next week.

In case you ever wanted to know what loving your TI looked like, it is a hand-crafted wooden carry case.  I bow to its creator.

Hi all,  TI-99 Community,

Ebay recently removed all of my previous listings, but I’ve now manually re-listed everything again, including the rare TI-99/4 computers (each one is different)
and other unique equipment such as the UCSD Pascal card, Gram Kracker, SuperSketch, CorComp RAM-Disk 512K, and more.

For full details, please refer to the attached PDF and click the link to view the listings.

* Prices listed in USD and shipment in USD (converted from THB)

* Unfortunately shipment rates are high

DHL Shipment details from Thailand -- to worldwide (currency in THB - Thai Baht)

Nothing showing on Ebay and the PDF download does not work...

The links to individual auctions in the PDF work, but none of the auctions show up using any of the standard eBay search methods--including going to look at the seller's other auctions when reaching one of the other auctions through the links. There are lots of interesting items in the PDF listing (very good idea to send that to us using that method, @globeron).

I will ask ebay support why it is not listed via the standard search method, I selected USA country (other one is Netherlands) as I used to sell a lot that time in 2019 when I was there.

The shipment selections available in ebay are only USA based (e.g. USPS, UPS), but I will only ship with DHL (and Thai Post for paper/flyers), because that seems to be the most reliable.

In total of all the many shipments I only had 2x a damage issue (1x from Netherlands and 1x from Thailand, both of them involved the heavy PEB Box shipments).

I just clicked on the link to your account and there were nine cartridge listings visible. That is nine more than the last time I looked earlier today. :) Progress :)

Thank you for checking!  I have sent Ebay a customer support request just now to figure out why.

In my account the listing site is USA and 51 Active listings:

All 51 items are now showing up when I click the link to your page. Looks like the problem is fixed (for now) @globeron.

Update from ebay how the system works

* Summary, the best is to list and schedule 36 hours in advance before making the list live. (as it is indexing in the background):

I have checked your account and can see that you have listed your 51 items successfully.

I would also like to share that when you submit a listing, your item may not immediately be found in our Search. This is because the item needs time to be indexed into our search results. The item was not visible because it was under Indexing.

Indexing is a kind of verification process which every product has to go under, so our system can check whether the product which is going on the site is authentic or not. Each day, we run several indexing cycles for Search. These indexing cycles are run to capture new information, such as new listings, bids, etc. It is important to remember that the Search system tracks a lot of information for every listing on the site, such as titles, descriptions, the auction start and end times, the seller, the bidders and the bids.

Indexing can take anywhere from a few minutes to 8-10 hours and maximum up to 36 hours. Maximum times we have found that the items are either instantly searchable or take up to 2 to 3 hours. I saw that you revised your item on August 9, which is why it got reindexed and took longer to show up in search. It is always advisable not to revise a listing in the first 24 hours.

If you revise your item after listing it, it gets reindexed and takes longer to show up in search. It is always advisable not to revise a listing in the first 24 hours.

I want to assure you that all your 51 items are searchable now. Most of them have received views already because potential buyers have viewed them.

I searched in the incognito with your user ID:

https://www.ebay.com/usr/ronvankl_0

All 51 items are showing.

I have attached a screenshot to this email which you can check in your globeron mail account.

Please know that, as your seller level is showing as Above Standard, your listings appear as usual in search results when sorted by Best Match.

Moving further, in order to avoid the indexing delay, you can schedule your listing at least 36 hours in advance so that the item can be visible in search results immediately after the listing goes live. You will not be charged any fee for scheduling your listing on ebay.com.

I am glad that I was able to assist you with your concern today.

I wish you all the best for future sales.

Thank you for contacting eBay Customer Service. Stay Safe!

Regards,

eBay Customer Service

A bit aggravating knowing that something I post on a short listing could take several hours to actually show up.

It's also how some items that never appear end up getting sold as someone has direct link, buys it, before you even know it's available for sale when you have daily saved searches setup to email you or notify you about new listings.

I'm thinking that sometimes a human being, needs to view the post, before listing, in order to screen-out inappropriate items/porn.:ponder:

I considered this, as well.  They can catch something illicit before it makes it into general distribution.  But, like most enforcement, it is somehow selective:

Disney fan art?  Copyright violation.

Cell phone stun gun?  Disallowed weaponry.

Copyrighted software in a collection?  Nah, let that go.

Woman standing naked so you can make out her reflection in a reflective item?  Definitely let that go.
