It's not too high, it's too large, as the alignment is fine at the bottom.

Nah, it is just to tall, the width is OK.

The padding on the right is smaller than that at the bottom so... it needs adjusting in two dimensions heh.

I have noticed the forum has loaded much faster than before. The only area that needs to be improved is the skin. It needs a better skin than the current one. Maybe you can get or make a better one with blue or black for the background colour. I feel it is more fitting for gaming forum than having white for the background. This is just my suggestion.

Go to the bottom of the page and select "Change theme" on the left most side. Then pick Deflection for a dark charcoal background with white text theme.
