classicgamer_27330
This week is a N game. Looking at the N games for the Sega Genesis, you see way too many NBA games and NFL games. I had do to some searching the Mega Drive or Game Gear for the N game. I decided on a Game Gear N game which is Ninja Gaiden.Play on defaults. Pm me what place you think you'll finish and how many points you want to wager. If your right about your place, I'll add those points to your score. If you're wrong I'll subtract them from your score. You don't have to pm me a wager, this is optional and I'll keep it secret. Once a pm is sent, it can't be taken back.Note if you bet on a place and finish higher you do win your bet. For example if you bet 2nd and finish 1st you get the points. Thusly I've decided to get rid of the 5th bet cause that's pretty much a sure point. If you want to bet 4th the most points you can wager is 2If you want to bet 3rd the most points you can wager is 3If you want to bet 2nd the most points you can wager is 4If you want to bet 1st the most points you can wager is 5 Bonus:Play a non Ninja Gaiden game that has Ninja in the title or has a ninja in the game. If the latter the pic must be of the ninja. (1 point) Round 12 ends on 9/15/2013 at 12:01 AM EST. Please don't post any scores until after Round 11 ends.10 more letters to go Letters done A, B, C, H, I, L, M, N, O, P. NIKON
Answer to Genesis/Mega Drive Ninja Gaiden Ninja Gaiden (Mega Drive/Genesis)[edit source | editbeta] A Mega Drive/Genesis version of Ninja Gaiden'[6] was in development by Sega sometime in 1992. It was planned to be a belt scroll-style beat-'em-up similar to the arcade version of Ninja Gaiden, instead of following the side-scrollingplatform game format from the NES trilogy. The plot would have involved Ryu traveling to the United States in order to track down a pair of sibling ninjas named Jin and Rika who have gone rogue by stealing the Secret Scrolls of the Huma (an alternate romanization of the name "Fūma"). The Mega Drive version is not a port of the arcade game, but some of the stages (such as a casino) and enemy characters (like the hockey mask-wearing punks) are similar,[7] though the play mechanics are very different. The game was never released commercially, but a beta build was leaked through the internet as a ROM image. The beta features seven stages, including cut-scenes and bosses, but has several programming bugs such as odd moving controls, unfinished levels, and cut-scenes which are skipped before finishing. Although the opening and stage names are in Japanese, the rest of the cut-scenes were translated into English. The techniques available in the beta consists of a standard punch combo, a jump kick, a rolling move, a special somersault kick, and a throw. NIKON
122,300 I gave up... could not get passed the level 2 boss...this version is worse than the NES one...one hit from the boss guys takes 4 health units from you...sorry but this is a bad version of Ninja Gaiden..I can beatthe NES version every time I play it. DonPedro
I also couldn't beat the 2nd level boss. And unfortunately there's a possibility of infinite points leeching on level 2 so playing this game for score is a bit pointless... 27,400 bonus: This game doesn't have ninja in its title, but there's definitely one in the game...
