zylon
The 7 out of 10 was for Yars Strike Yars Revenge is a 9 or 10 game. I haven't played the GBC version, i'll have to try that one. edit - I'm kinda digging the GBC version. It took awhile to get used to. The game play isn't all on the same screen and it uses 2 buttons. But not bad, i'll give it a 8 Last I played it was on a GBC, haven't tried it fullsize yet.

+therealbountybob
Space Ace - 1330 Space Hawks - 35,180 No rules, no points, no bonus, in fact no nothing... at least the author(s) had some sense of humour Where did you find these two games therealbountybob? Atari version of Cassette 50? I had a list of 'worse games' that I made a long time ago and this had Space Ace on it, but the version I had didn't have the harder levels so I put it in for a bit of fun (or punishment)! Occasionally I pull together a disk or two of related games (downloads from Fandal and Atarionlne.pl) these come in handy for HSC tournaments and I had *Space Hawks on there, looked good but after some play seems a bit easy/too many lives but it's nice to have some easier games in these rounds so everyone can find a couple they like to play (hopefully). These rounds sometimes unearth a hidded gem; Roundabout springs to mind or more recently Catapede. Also gives play to some games that are not enough for a regular round but are ok for a few goes Struggling to improve my scores: failed on Galactic Avenger & Space Wars... ... made a small improvements on Juno to 81,010 - no idea how you guys are getting past 100K & Yar's Strike 5,219 - doesn't seem to give much for killing him so I guess you need to milk the barricade for points ? *Space Hawks 72,310 I have no time, so, probably - no points this time... But I have a fun to play on my Atari,so... As always, I appreciate you posting a few scores Sikor, lets me know people are still out there As much as I would like that to be true, I have to admit that I fat fingered an extra zero on this score... should be Juno First 140250 I did wonder, but hey it's you, so I figured it was within reach new tables I think... Vote OPEN for round 17 p.s. on Galactic Avenger you can pull down for a shield (you already figured up to kill the mother ships of course!) +therealbountybob
A few more improvements from me Space Wars 17,400 (made it to the round ship thingys (4th level?) for the 1st time) Space Blaster 39,591 am liking this but it gets insane Buck Rogers 126,250 still 2.2 and finished the session with a relaxing go of Yar's Strike 6,048 (level 7)
+therealbountybob
Is everyone else only getting two lives on Space Blaster even though you start with 4? No! You should get a bunch of lives?! I'm on a 130XE... __________________ What's that game Sikor?!!!
+therealbountybob
A couple more from me Hyperblast! 16,290 managed to complete the 1st round and was then cruising for a few levels - extra man at (every) 10K I think. Liking Yars quite a bit; for me it's got a Qix like appeal as you get concentrating on one thing and your caught by another, but like rr said there are some bugs - I was trying to figure the scoring but it seems a thousand a level apart from level 1 - but eventually beat level 6 and the game said I was safe home (and on level 9!) so job done 6,205 - I had a couple of blocks show up left of the barrier! that's about enough for me (consider the Gauntlet thrown!), might have another bash at Aquatron tomorrow though
Thelen
I'm very pleased to see that my Yar's strike homebrew is used in this HSC ! I've read all the comment about it with a smile on my face Saw some really good scores passing by. Sorry for the bugs guys.. ..I'm sometimes a bit messy i think... Either way, very cool to see people had fun playing it !!

adam242
Space Blaster 39,591 am liking this but it gets insane Agreed.. it does get quite hectic. A few bumps for me today... Aquatron.......30460 Buck Rogers...127279 Juno First....171760 Space Ace.......4400 Space Hawks....50200 Demon Attack...24325 Galactic Avngr..3020 Hyperblast......9680 Space Blaster..73326 Space Wars.....16300 Triad..........80255 Yar's Strike....6211 Total points..597176 Got to the window-in-an-eyeball looking things (level 5, after the onion heads) on Space Wars.. Toughest wave for me is the third. Once the tie-fighters start creeping up the bottom of the screen, my shields are done. I cannot figure out the scoring in Galactic Avenger at all. I can get farther in the game, yet score lower. Not that it's worth spending a lot of time on.. Edited October 19, 2013 by adam242

+therealbountybob
OK THAT'S IT! FINAL TABLES COMING UP SOON... still time to VOTE if you are quick! Got to the window-in-an-eyeball looking things (level 5, after the onion heads) on Space Wars.. Toughest wave for me is the third. Once the tie-fighters start creeping up the bottom of the screen, my shields are done. I missed that - yes on the third wave you end up having to deliberately run through them as you seem to get surrounded. The Onion Heads I know exactly which ones you mean there No screen shot for Space Wars of course, but I made it past the eyeballs and the following level (that I'm calling 'popcorn skulls') and into the 7th wave... computer-chip bugs? +therealbountybob
The numbers have been crunched and probably they will need re-crunching if I've made one of my usual screw-ups but it looks like the 'new boys done good' and it's congratulations to adam242 for his first ever HSC win and being the HSC's Champion Mega Space Blaster with McKong scoring a late equaliser (well breaking the milion points total; and my spreadsheet formatting) taking 2nd spot from trbb Solid performance from darthkur in 4th spot. Thanks for playing everyone, hope you enjoyed this round and found a couple you liked. Back to regular classic HSC action next Final Tables: trbb off to repair joystick...
