Tempest
Are there any Amiga users here in the SE Michigan area? I need to find someone with an Amiga 2000/3000/500 running Kickstart 2.0/Workbench 2.0 or greater to help me out in reflashing my Indivision ECS unit. Shoot me a PM if you're able to help. Tempest
I managed to reflash the unit tonight but it's still not working. I need to stick it into another Amiga and see if it's the board or my system.
+Gemintronic
Yeah. I'm pretty much useless. Sold off my 500 for a Minimig
Tempest
I'm thinking it's a cut trace on the board anyway. I can't believe my Amiga is bad because it works with the 1080 monitor I have and runs programs.
MoreBITS
I am in Norther Oakland county. You need a working 2000 to swap a chip on?
Tempest
Thanks for the offer, but I got it working in the end. The board turned out to be just fine, it was the cable that was broken. I wonder how many Amiga people we have in the SE Michigan area? I wouldn't mind being part of some SE Michigan Amiga group (or Apple II group for that matter). ClausB
Or Atari group? I'm near Lansing. Remember MACE?
Tempest
Or Atari group? I'm near Lansing. Remember MACE? I've tried to get something like that going in the past, but never got much response. I guess we're kind of anti-social down here.
MoreBITS
Hey Tempest, I was going to contact you about some of your 8bit Atari stuff and stumbled on this old thread and remembered you weren't too far from me. have you ever run accross an issue with an A2000 that doesn't boot and some times has a solid green, other times solid red? Send me a pm if you are interested in meeting up and selling or trading locally.
Tempest
Those are boot error codes IIRC. I found this: Red: An error was found in the ROM. Green: An error was found in Chip ram. So it sounds like a bad ROM or RAM chip. Try reseating them and see if that helps.
MoreBITS
Thanks I tried swapping some of the socketed chips a while ago. I will take another crack at it.
