Gurner
Are the SDHC cards (eg 4Gb) compatible? Cheers.
+SpiceWare
Yes, I use a 4GB SDHC in mine.

Thomas Jentzsch
But you really don't need that much space.
raindog
Yeah, every variant of every Atari ROM, including WIPs and proof of concept demos from [stella] and here, is still well under 100MB. You'd have to have 20 redundant copies of everything to even fill a 2GB card. But the smaller cards are gonna get hard to find in another couple years. We just went looking for a card locally a few weeks back and the smallest was 8GB (we bought a 32). So I'm glad to know it'll support the bigger cards. I think to find a 2GB card I'll have to dig out my old Nintendo DS flash cart, which maxed out at 2GB.
Andromeda Stardust
Pity for legacy devices that don't work with bigger SD cards.
raindog
Amazon will continue to stock them for a long time. I can still get a 128MB CompactFlash card like I had in my first digital camera in 1999, on Prime even, just not in most retail stores. +SpiceWare
But you really don't need that much space. Sure don't, mine only has 49 MB on it. I only used the 4GB card because I already had it - it was left over from upgrading my old digital camera to a 16 GB card.
Gurner
Yeah, I'm just buying the lowest-cost SD card available. *Edit – lowest-cost here in New Zealand, on our version of ebay. Overseas postage is insanely expensive as we're far away for the rest of the world geographically. Edited October 30, 2013 by Gurner

I guess that also inludes Micro SD for those (like me) who have ordered the Micro SD version. The smallest micro SD card I could find in my eshop today that was on stock was 2 GBs Transcend so I hope it is going to work...

I currently have a list of roughly some < 500 items that take up some 2.8 MBs... And if the navigation system in Harmony allows me to scroll quickly though them I will probably just put them right in the root since I do not like browsing through folders to play a game... Dan Iacovelli
if you have an adapter for the micro card then yes it will work as well I used one before I got me a normal sd card and had no troubles with it

You can page by 10 items. How quick you can page depends on the access speed of the SD cart.
