clifton2600jr
Hey everyone, been an Atari enthusiast for awhile & I'm new to the forums. I recently bought a Harmony cart and I've been testing out various games. Most everything seems to load up just fine but Dig Dug & Stargate (aka Defender II) appear to have serious issues. I've tried various rom dumps of each and both act as if they are being "fried" i.e. holding reset and power at the same time. Any suggestions on getting them working? My console is a 2600 Jr. Rev A if that makes any difference. Thanks!
cd-w
Have you tried the ROMs from the atarimania collection: http://www.atarimania.com/rom_collection_archive_atari_2600_roms.html
clifton2600jr
I just tried them and it seems to make no difference. I attempted renaming the files to .F6S but that also does not seem to have any effect. In fact, I've tried almost every Atari released game larger than 16k and all of them are glitched in some way. cd-w
Are you able to play the Stay Frosty 2 demo (linked from the AtariAge front page)? Chris
+SpiceWare
What version of the BIOS is on your Harmony? To find out the version: 1) select the top line, the one with just [.] 2) hit FIRE on your joystick The top line will be the version, which should be 1.05. If it's not, then update it with the files from this topic.
cd-w
The most likely cause is an out of date or corrupt BIOS, but it could be an issue with your console. Have you tried any normal Atari carts 16K and over on your console, i.e. the actual cart rather than the Harmony? Chris
RetroFiends
I just tried dig dug and I'm A-OK there, but I tried stargate and it does indeed have some issues, although I can't verify other dumps of the game. First game I've run accross. The tv goes spastic and makes whine if you try to run it almost like you're wiggling the cartridge.
