Buyatari
If you want a real sleeper find sealed copies of Donkey Kong for the Colecovision. It was a pack-in so sealed copies don't come around so often.

Buyatari
As rare as sealed boxed 2mb copies of Cybermorph? Not sure. I don't speak Atari Jaguar. Mostly 2600 dialect.
Atari_Bill
The Atari market has been fairly resistant to the recent changes in the Videogame market. Don't take the comment personal but many here resent these changes. Very resistant. I absolutely detest grading services and the ruin they bring to any "trendy" collectibles where they can hook their slimy money grubbing tentacles. Just my opinion.....
bennybingo
I thank you guys for your opinions, I jut don't understand all the flagrant remarks... I think most people have been going fairly easy (as internet forums go). Trust me when I say, we are all friends here...we just have a hazing ritual that takes place almost daily in the marketplace. When new folks show up with incredibly outlandish expectations regarding the value of items we know to be fairly commonplace, a feeding frenzy of jokes and comments tend to stir up. Lucky for you, nobody decided to provide Shatner and Hello Kitty pictures... ...until now!

Question: why have some of you guys not exploited the ebay market with graded Mario bros or other titles that sell for large sums if you guys knwo where to get them for cheap? I mean, you would be providing a benefit to people on the inverse, people (me as an example) are willing to pay exuberant prices so perhaps in actuality you are a "good guy"

bennybingo
Question: if someone is happy to pay the price, does that make you a bad person? Inflating the market is both unnecessary and greedy, so it does require a lack of scruples. If I know that someone is willing to pay too much for something due to a lack of research on their part, and I sell it to them, then I am taking advantage. Decent people don't do that, and AA is made up of decent folks for the most part.

Buyatari
Question: if someone is happy to pay the price, does that make you a bad person? Another question. If your actions are seen as forwarding movements in the marketplace unwelcome within a community resistant to it then how long will you be welcome in that community?
Maertens29
Alright, just curious to hear people's opinions on the matter, not looking to ruffle too many feathers here.

segasaturn
Another question. If your actions are seen as forwarding movements in the marketplace unwelcome within a community resistant to it then how long will you be welcome in that community? Not very. I mean people here, we are very protective of atariage and as a community, we collect atari and old computer systems because we CHOOSE too. Its not the money (for most of us) its because we like what we do. Don't feel bad. It's just lately we had a lot of people just "popping" up and trying to take advantage of us as a whole. Thats why we get defensive. Don't take it personally. Edited February 11, 2014 by segasaturn

He has no interest in Atari other than flipping it for a quick buck. Thick skin or not do you think it is in the best interest of a community to nurture and educate someone which such a viewpoint. Here buddy, this is where you get the best deals. So now go ahead and buy them out, monopolize the product and sell it to the same community that educated you for 10,20 or 50 times what we were used to paying before you bought them out. Mxyzptlk
When exactly did Mario Bros. become a $320 game? I have at least 2 minty fresh copies of this. Does it cost $300 to grade them? When the F did this VGA grading for Atari 2600 games start? And who is grading them??? I hope it is an actual expert ie... Albert, CPUWIZ, Wonder, at least someone that actually gives a crap about the 2600. @ the OP I will sell you my perfect condition Mario's (not graded) for $100 each. Cost about 30-40 if you grade multiple games at a time. The less you send in and the quicker you need it the more it will cost..

Trust me when I tell you I have no interest in monopolizing the atari 2600 Mario bros supply. Will I buy another copy after trying to dump mine? Yes. Will I buy multiple more copies for resell? No. It just seemed odd that NO ONE had taken to purchasing them after seeing how well they sell to "non atari enthusiasts"
damcanadian
tbh if they really are 20$ for a sealed copy I might get one, might be cool next pax in one of the display cases, people love taking photos of that kind of stuff
