During the mid 80's there was a lot of discussion about Freeware/Fairware, and i found that very entertaining. I want to hear from the "older" users here on what their experiences were when they heard about Open Source for the first time. I just wonder what the editor of Micropendium would have made of Open Source if the TI came out in the late 90's/early 21st century, and how the discussion about freeware/fairware would have been if it had to address open source as well.
