walter_J64bit
I've got Flashcart lastweek, I've been learning how use the terminal program thanks to Lynxman! Anyway like the title says I'm looking for homebrews so I play them on real hardware. Thanks! 108 Stars
Well, for one there is GadgetUK's "Alien". http://atariage.com/forums/topic/211241-alien-inbound/ I'd recommend you wait for the next version though, since GadgetUK is hard at work to bring us a version with an enhanced graphics mode. Also from him is Lynx OPs, sadly unfinished. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/206803-lynx-ops/ From obchan: Luchsenstein 3D: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/211857-luchsenstein-3d/ Lady Bug from Fadest: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/142774-lynxa-bugs-lynx-the-game-of-the-ac2k9-coding-contest/ Ouragan (aka Tempest) beta: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/196639-ouragan-new-version/ From Matthias Domin there's a couple of small games like Marble Madness, Clicks and Snakebyte: http://www.mdgames.de/lynx_eng.htm And there is Allein, so far it's a demo only for a text adventure in German. You won't be able to do much with it because of the language barrier, but I bet an English version will be made when the full version comes: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/215207-allein/ A personal favorite of mine, although I wish it didin't have the 1:1 Atari 800 graphics is Lode Runner. A very well made straight port, including level skip: http://atariage.com/software_page.html?SoftwareLabelID=1986 From LX.NET: Tiny Lynx Adventure. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/201131-tiny-lynx-adventure/ Yastuna Volumes 1 and 2, a mini game collection: http://fadest.free.fr/Yastuna/indexen.html http://fadest.free.fr/Yastuna2/indexen.html#Download Since Karri is participating in a competition, there will also be a new roguelike game by the weekend. Also, beside the homebrews there is also the unreleased games you might want to try out. I recommend Road Riot 4WD. +karri
And you are free to try the test version right now and give some feedback Shaken, not stirred with placeholder graphics and no sound. Being playtested right now. By you, I hope. shaken-2014-03-12.zip
walter_J64bit
WOW, playtesting you got it! Thanks!
+karri
Please playtest this version. The deadline for testing is by Friday morning. The plan is to release it on Friday evening around UTC 2000. Known problems: - location graphics need finetuning - music and sound is still missing What I am interested in if you can complete the game before Big Badaboom. This is 10 minutes now. The storyline goes something like this: Shaken, not stirred The mission, should you choose to accept it, is to preserve World peace by disarming a ticking bomb. Unfortunately the location of the bomb as well as the instructions of how to disarm it is not known. The bad guys are not too happy about your interaction with their plans. The gals on the other hand may, or may not help you. The controls are simple. You use only the joypad and two fire buttons throughout the game. shaken-2014-03-13.zip Edited March 13, 2014 by karri

walter_J64bit
What I am interested in if you can complete the game before Big Badaboom. This is 10 minutes now. I have say no to this. I like the controls. I seem live longer in ver 2014-03-13 than ver 2014-02-12. The screen with row of dots, I see some words at bottom of the screen when a dot is selected but I cant read it (too fast). On the same screen when holding down the A fire button the game pauses The map screen with flashing this is annoying and when holding down the A fire button the game pauses here too. The screen that looks a room with the enemies it's hard to see the HP bars (maybe because graphics need finetuning?) Same room the menu I like this easy to use. Same room I cant seem use the TNT but I see something on screen when trying use the TNT Game Over screens I have cut off the Lynx to play the game again. This all I've got. I hope this helps out. +karri
Thanks. Time to try this on the real Lynx. I saved time by developing on emulators.

GadgetUK
Missing the link to my homebrews... well not of importance anyway. They are very important I think he just forgot! http://bjoern.spruck.net/lynx/
+karri
They are very important I think he just forgot! http://bjoern.spruck.net/lynx/ True. I used Sage's chipper in "Shaken, not stirred". I love the Lynx tracker. Now I am also starting to learn how to use it. It took about 2 hours to get things done. For some reason using WAVEFORM's stayed in effect also for stuff coming after the pattern using WAVEFORM's. In the Programming thread I have an almost finished "Shaken, not stirred" version using Chipper music. (And Sage's tune was the starting point for it). I am still going to add some better prologues to the game tonight. So there will be one more release coming out. The last release. The size of this homebrew is less than 64k and it uses 512 bytes/block. So you may have to know this when burning the game for the Lynx. "Shaken, not stirred" was intended to be a single mission taking 10 minutes. It is not a complete rogue-like game, just a single mission. 108 Stars
Missing the link to my homebrews... well not of importance anyway. Sorry, I just couldn't compile a full list. I just wrote what seemed most interesting to me as a gamer, and what I could remember. If you would finish Dynabuster, add 4-player comlynx and give it a new coat of paint I would surely not forget to mention that. It puzzles me that you are not working on that anymore, a Bomberman game would easily be one of the most popular games on the Lynx in no time!
