What I mean to say is, I mostly play only classic games, and rarely modern stuff

The last modern console I enjoyed was Dreamcast, after that, I played next to nothing

:) I know, I was just teasing you.

You are already in the right direction with the retro games you are doing!

I never had a Dreamcast, Ive always wanted to get one...maybe one day!

Is your Dreamcast game out yet?

Dreamcast is a really neat system, alot of awesome Shmups (playable in Tate mode)

Lots of varieties , I strongly suggest you to get one, amd they are pretty cheap too

Our Dreamcast game is currently in development

Looking good already

I agree , this game is all about that :)

I think I could do it right

Nice. Now, if you can make the rotoscope-ish animation work (and I don't see why not), you have something. Great work!

On another note, may I suggest you apply those skills to a wholly original concept? The Intellivision screams for new original work.

How about a collaborative effort? ;)

How about an Intellivision fighting game......featuring the Characters of the Intellivision scene!

Benny "the bacon" Bingo VS Slab0meat! Fight!

Cmart VS Tales From The Game Room Kiss!.....I mean FIGHT!

Groovybee VS Wil...........ok, nevermind bad idea

I also did a Ghost n Goblins mockup, but I wanted to work more on that one before posting it

Are all these mock ups you work on are eventual/potential releases? Or fun!

You are going to make alot of people happy if even a 1/4 of your mock ups make a release......

What?

You know I'm doing those for BOTH, eventual release AND fun! ;) :D

If I were going to make that kind of game, I would make it look more like this ;) :D

I decided to optimized the screen so it takes less cards

At the same time, this's how I make the graphics

That looks like 5 or 6 GRAM tiles, the rest can be found in GROM. I'm sure you can add more detail, and still have some left over for MOBs, text boxes, and other overlays. ;)

how can such a big caracter be animated on intv?

By my calculations, that would be probably 3 or 4 MOBs for the main character. Then if you constrain the game to a single enemy attacking at a time (which is how I remember it), and reduce his detail, that's three more MOBs for the enemy. The remaining MOB can be applied to the "blast" on hits. Or use all 8 MOBs on the characters and use background tiles for the "blast," at reduced resolution.

Animation can be done by GRAM sequencing. It's possible, but there will be considerably less detail than the original. However, I believe that it is absolutely possible to depict a cinematic story with minimal graphical detail, if the right tropes are applied appropriately. I think that's been proven. ;)
