ac and dc adapter?

Dug out my lynx again, decided I'd like to have the ac and dc plugs

Instead of batteries. Have not found anything universal yet or original.

Is the Lynx AC adaptor compatible with the Lynx II? I've only seen one model on ebay (from B&C) and wondering if it works with both. Thanks.

If you have batteries in will it default to those or auto preference the ac adaptor. Just asking because I know there is at least one handheld out there where this is an issue..like if you don't push down the ac plug enough and all that or even otherwise

The schematic here on AA shows a switched power socket therefore with an external power unit correctly plugged in the negative (0V) battery connection should be disconnected from the rest of the circuitry thereby ensuring that power is derived from the external supply.

Awesome thanks for the response! I've been playing my Lynx for about a week now with the AC adapter and batteries in so I figured that was the case since it's still going strong.

 

I've put close to 6 hours on my Lynx batteries only, on one set of batteries? Seems to be going a lot longer than I remember my friends game gear running....3-4 hrs..
