Games For Your Intellivision Posted June 26, 2014 Share Posted June 26, 2014 I was wondering the same thing. Paid for Old School but haven't received yet, and now they are soliciting another pre-pay. To be clear, this is a reservation, NOT a 'pre-pay'. However, people here can pay in confidence that they will get their game(s). If you simply want to reserve your copy, Soulbuster is the guy to do it with. We are making 100 available at this time. He has taken a big load off of my mind with my move overseas. I have the Kroz boxes and stickers sitting right here. They are being mailed to California on Friday, so Tim can start putting them together. Putting 100s of boxes together is not easy, and time consuming. The game is not a 'work in progress'. If is finished. It underwent some MAJOR testing by a very member of this forum, who identified not only bugs but design issues that have been addressed. The game is a better game now for it, and he has been credited in the game. It is believed to be bug free now. The release candidate is being mailed to him as well on Friday, and the final test with cheat codes will begin. Once that is run through and any bugs or issues are identified and addressed, the cheat codes will be removed, and the game will enter one more test phase. Hopefully by the time the final test is done, we will have the manual written. Each room will have a hint written in Hex that can be decoded into English using a table. These hints have to be made and each room rated for difficulty during the testing phase. One further issue is that Left Turn Only is VERY low on circuit boards and we need to order more. This is 'big bucks' and any people that 'pre-pay' will be helping with this. However, we aren't a charity case, and are not asking for you to pre-pay at this time. However, remember that Elektronite ships. Period. The Old School manual should be done in the next two days and sent to the printer for printing. The box prints along with Boulder Dash ® and Project 'L' the first week of July pending the design of the Project - L box. The overlays for Old School, Kroz, Boulder Dash, and others will print at the same time as the boxes. Again, a huge outlay of money. Soulbuster funded the full deal with regards to Old School. I immediately hired an artist and got the design done, which I am sure some of you have seen already. I am sure that Soulbuster appreciates the people who did pre-pay for the game, but it was on HIS dime that the game got made into a 'CIB' release. Again, Elektronite ships. The modified ROM should be sent to Left Turn Only and they will probably have the game sent to California (all 100 copies) by late July. He should have all of the materials by the end of July, but of course, we hope there are no delays with the manual. That is the situation.
