vectrexroli
The new postman has to deliver a package for VectrexRoli, but is there a way that Mrs. VectrexRoli does not find out about the new expensive eBay purchase?... http://youtu.be/LYlkVNPYDbs
darthkur
That was great. Very funny. I didn't know of that variant of the Videopac. Shame that a color monitor would have been so costly. I remember how expensive color tv sets where back then.

Maybe someone already modded his G7200 with a color screen?

CatPix
I remember when I saw the G7200 back in the days the graphics on the black & white monitor looked already extremly outdated. Maybe someone already modded his G7200 with a color screen? This would require to fit new electronics into the case. can work. The G7200 and Philips N60 are in fact a Videopac (obviously) fitted in another famous piece of electronics of the 80's/90 : the Minitel. The Minitel was a dumb terminal used in France (and some other countries, but on a very limited and short timed extend) to connect to a national telematic network. It was so successfull in France that the shutdown was first annouced in 2004, then 2010, then finally it happened this year. For making it cheaper, the display was a standard 625 lines B&W display (an European TV). I suppose one could take a color Minitel and fir the guts in the "pyramid" shaped G7200. But one can also make a RGB cable and use the video output that is (supposed to) exist on the back of the unit.
