LTO Flash! - Intellivision Flash Cartridge Information

Recommended Posts

I'll wait for the edition where you get a ripped open box that looks like it got wet at some point and a manual that's been used to rest cigarettes on for at least 6 months.

I might have to take a prepayment for that one. Cigarettes ain't cheap. Or, would coffee stains also work for you instead? ;)

In reading this, two things come to mind.

1. Devices to allow people to play import Saturn games were openly sold (by major retail chains) during that console's life.

2. PayPal is good for the buyer but the seller never knows when a complaint can lead to a chargeback without warning. And by the terms of service, their options are often limited to an arbitration under the company's rules and oversight.

I just received a notification saying PayPal will be updating their Terms soon. It mostly affects Seller Protection for gift cards and money spent for gambling and crowd funding. Also something about 7 days before escalating a claim regardless of amount.

Pretty sure I paid for my Harmony Carts using Paypal without any problems.

So are these being released anytime soon now then? Front page still says they are being released after CGE which was almost 2 years ago now.

"AVAILABILITY: The product will debut at Classic Gaming Expo and should be available at the same time via mail order from the Left Turn Only Order Page here:"

It was quite exciting to have had two intellivision carts announced at the same time a few years back and so far seems like both were prematurely announced. Like many others I don't care about extra features as long as they play games.

@StarshipUK : To save you the slog of wading through threads, Joe (and I) legitimately believed we were close to release back in 2014, assuming our schedules and free time remained steady-state. Then "real life" hit Joe especially hard, culminating in him changing jobs and moving across the country.

We are in the end stages of the process now. Joe's finishing up the manual to be included in the box. Boxes are have been ready since 2014 - and that is a *large* monetary investment to sit on. Boards are all manufactured and in-hand, also since then - and in the process of being prepared. Same with shells. These processes are time-consuming, and still subject to interruption. It's truly been a matter of hours-in-the-day being insufficient.

For my part, the UI software, I'm ironing out the online documentation. If any critical bugs pop up in the UI software, I'm squashing those. It's also a hectic time of year with end-of-school-year / beginning-of-summer-vacation squeezing in on "free" time. One problem with UI software is that it's never really done, and all too easy to try to squeeze in just one more feature, or address just one more obscure corner use case. :P

We're hoping to get a last round of rigorous testing from the beta testers and finish this off, but as we've unfortunately learned the hard way, promising a date is a path to frustration for everyone.

Thanks for the update and it looks like the release is getting close.

Guys, just an info please...

Are the LTO carts shipping from the US? If so, have you ever evaluated the option to find an EU partner to ship 20-30 carts a time, with a next phase of internal EU shipping to their final destinations? (also money payments should be obviously collected by the EU partner with a single money transfer to you before shipping).

By this way all EU user could simplify a lot all single transactions and also internal shipping would be a lot quicker and easier...

Thx for your support!

Perhaps one or more of the Canadians could bring some back from PRGE, and re-distribute from there.

Honestly though, unless people are intentionally ripping you off (ie: Ebay sellers), shipping from the US for a INTV cartridge is only a few dollars more than from within Canada.

I *have* had the thought that if some *do* make it to PRGE, that I'd be willing to take a few PayPal transfers, pay out with cash when I'm down there, and bring a half-dozen copies home for shipping to the needy. Should be able to get that past Customs no problem.

That would be great if they do!!! Thanks for offering very kind of you.

That's an idea that worked well in the past: LTO games were shipped from Germany to the Europeans purchasers by Oliver P.
