AtariNostalgia
Hello everyone! I am new to this forum. I am an Atari 8 bit fan(atic)! I have a couple of functioning 800XL's and a 130XE with a few external HDD's and a bunch of other stuff. My first question. I have a Mac, and I downloaded Atari800MacX. Is there anyway for me to get online through the emulator? I mean can I cruise the web using an Atari 8 bit emulator? I know the graphics might even be non existant, but oh man, for old time sakes I'd love to do that! Thank you so much!!!

There may be lantronic devices on real Atari to connect to Ethernet. If you can use an A8 emulator and connect to the internet, I don't know. I don't think so. Or it isn't simple. So, I don't know the answer to your question. I know you can call dial-up BBS with your real A8 and a serial port interface and real modem and phone line. +Stephen
The closest you would be able to do is using text only sites if the Dragon Cart emulation works on Mac. AFAIK, only Altirra supports this. You could also telnet into a terminal using Lynx.
AtariNostalgia
Thanks so much for your replies so far. I has heavy into the 6502 back then, I just assumed someone had made a text interface by now (HTML to ASCII) Perhaps I should endeavour in this.
